Take Shelter is possibly about a man with early stages of Schizophernia and is the goat 10s film.
Why was she such a fucking crybaby?
The entire operation was obviously going to advance her career insanely fast afterwards even though she was being used as a patsy and enabling a grey area interpretation of jurisdiction and S.O.P.
If she kept her fucking mouth shut and went with the program she would've been director of something instead of getting shot, having a gun pointed at her head, forced to sign some bullshit and listening to a morally ambiguous speech about wolves.
>muh constitution
>muh authorised use of force
>muh moral relativity
No cop cares about any of that.
They just want promotions and better pensions.

The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legends fade to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the third age by some, an Age yet to come, an age long pass, a wind rose in the Mountains of Mist. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings or endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.
>What is the Wheel of Time?
The Wheel of Time (abbreviated as WoT by fans) is a bestselling series of epic fantasy novels written by the American author James Oliver Rigney, Jr. under the pen name Robert Jordan.
It has recently been announced that it will be getting a tv series adaptation by a currently unknown "Major Studio".

>What do we know so far?
Just the announcement made by Harriet McDougal (Jordan's wife).

Is this series any good?

More interesting, albeit it centralized, than Game of Thrones.

What is the greatest film ever made, and why is it the sincere masterpiece The Thin Red Line?
>make war film
>tell actors to march
>film a flower
>masterpiece
the only flaw is the acting by the Japanese soldiers. they act deranged and bloodthirsty in a way that works against what the movie's supposed to be about
>>69197096
When do they act bloodthirsty? I don't see it at all. They act like scared, confused humans, fits perfectly
So /tv/, who did it better?
>R. Lee vs. a literally who
seriously though who's the other guy
That's Nick Nolte....
>>69196988
Obviously this one did it better in all regards.
>I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
>But you yourself are nothing so divine

How can anyone deny this as the GOAT Bond theme song?
>>69196865
It's easily my favorite.
Becauseit's not Goldfinger
Casino Royale is honest to God the only Bond movie I have seen. Which other ones should I watch?
Here's a topic I haven't seen on here.
>Stand up comedians
What is your favorite stand-up special and why?
I just watched people pleaser (Daniel Tosh) and FUNCOMFORTABLE (Chris Hardwick).
Overall I liked them.
Suggest funny standup specials (newer would be better I've almost every old special).
Also female comics aren't funny? Myth or reality?
Looking for something funny to watch!
>>69196769
Pryor and Eddie Murphy have to be my favourites
>>69197687
I like them as well, but I have already seen everything they've made a dozen times. I like that sort of style though, any newer ones that are like that?
I love stand up, so much so, that I find it almost impossible to pick a favorite stand up special.
Also, where have you been? People talk about comedians all the time. There's even a meme dedicated to trashing Louis CK in everything he does and people have been giving Patton Oswalt shit for the last few weeks.
Anyway, I guess Bill Cosby's Himself would have to be my favorite just because it was the first one I ever saw at a tender young age and it got me interested in stand up comedy. His last special though, ehhhhh. Did you know he did one after Himself called 49? I found it randomly on YouTube. It's alright.
I really want to go to a taping of a famous comedians special one day. One of my favorites. I don't want to see some new guy do his 10 minutes, although it would still be a good time for me.
I just saw this last night with some friends (we don't actually like these movies but its usually all thats on at the cinema) and I've got to say that it was one the most drawn out, long winded, badly paced films I've seen in a long time.
There are so many things that are jarring about this film. It was so difficult to keep up with whose side people were on; why does it only take people about 2 hours to get anywhere in the world? What was the point of the 'civil war'? It seemed to just be a side plot for most of the film.
My main complaint is that it just took so long to get to anything interesting, and when the 'interesting' thing did happen it was so underwhelming. The film literally just took 1 step forward and 2 steps back the whole time (all the way until the end, the actual conclusion to the film was in an after credit scene??)
This filming having anything above 70% on review sites is just proof that people really dont care about the quality of the film, they just want to see all their favourite action figures playing together.
Is the movie really that bad?
>>69196741
Agree.
>>69196741
>>69196806
I agree. I used to me a marval fan, but this movie killed it for me. It totally womps!
That's why Im a DC™ fan now.
What the fuck was his problem?
he had aids
Insecure douche, pretty much.
>>69196646
He just liked doing that kind of stuff
There was no point, they were hoping on Cloverfield fans going to see it.
I don't know how many times this movie made me flip flop on Goodman's intentions. Turns out John Goodman wasn't a good man.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Marketing to get people to see it.
What was his fucking problem?
Some smartass faggy little 10 year old thought he could share the same track with the greatest podracer of all time.
It's like if David Spade challenged Mike Tyson to a bare-knuckle boxing match.

I'd be pissed too.
He had two incredible hot Twi'lek slaves, TWINS at that, and suffered from micropenis. I too would be pissed every waking moment.
