Buy a motorcycle. You can pic up one from anywhere from like 250-300 US. Gives you freedom to go where ever and shits cheep as fuck to fix if you do break down. Best way to see the country if you ask me, and a good way to meet other people. Plus the roads are just pure crazyness fun. Theres like zero laws. Just finishing up my trip now and 10/10 would do again.
