Hi /trv/,
I was summing all travels I could do in my life and I was amazed of how potential cool things this country could offer. But, at the same time, I found weird I have never seen any Algerian thread in /trv/ as long as I remember.
What do you think of Algeria, /trv/?

I've seen algerians on /int/ every once in a while but that's it.
There was an Algerian anon who made a pretty good thread on /out/ a while back.
Pretty good post on /r/hitchhiking a while back about hitchhiking through the north.
It's definitely on my bucket list, but I suspect for every cool thing Algeria has, Morocco has something cooler.
I though Algeria was reluctant of mass tourism. I thought the visa was hard to get. Or am I mistaken?

It's not too hard to get, you either need a LOI or proof of a guided tour or hotel bookings. You can make hotel bookings and cancel them, of course. But for Americans you have to get the visa while in America, and it's expensive, over $100.
Morocco has touts yeah, but if you get off the tourist track it's all decent people.
