Man, there's a restaurant just next to the colosseum, you'll recognize it because it's next to a gay flag. Best pizza.

How high are the restaurant prices in general?

I only spent a short amount of time in Rome unfortunately. But generally speaking I'd say you should avoid the touristy areas for eating. The best pizza I ever ate was at a random pizza place a bit outside the city center.

Ok sounds reasonable, what about the romapass?
I was in Rome for just 2 days in 2014. A cab driver recommended me a restaurant called La Colibrie. I never got the chance to go but he was super cool and so I trust his opinion which is why I still remember the name of the place.
I had the most amazing lunch at some mom-and-pop place but unfortunately I've no idea where, we were just kind of walking around when we found it in a tiny street.
>tfw no low-cost to FCO until november
feels bad, man
Lors of good restaurants in Rome, but you wanna walk a couple of metres away from monuments to not get ripped off like american tourists. Small family joints are usually the best. No idea bout the pass but probably not worth it
