Does anyone have advice on what to do in Frankfurt in August? Going with a friend for a few days and then to Brussels.

One option would be to take a train to Bonn (left their today, heading to Rotterdam)
Bonn is a very nice little city and you can also take a train from their to Köln and see th Dom

Yea, leave Frankfurt because it sucks.
Check out some of the smaller cities nearby and Rhine valley vineyards and castles and shit.

I went to Frankfurt for a few days, once. I wasn't trying to, but that fucking airport...
Take a daytrip to Heidelberg. It's maybe 1.5 hours by train. Beautiful old-town German city type.

Germans go there mainly for business. It's more worthwhile to explore the region.

god damn... frankfurt is maybe the best city in germany. you could go shopping, check out the big red light distrirct, go to the bars or clubs. drugs available too
