Considering going to Africa next year for two weeks, and Tanzania is my main focus. Good idea? Bad idea? Tell me about it please. Also looking at Mozambique as well, but open to suggestions.

From what I read, the coastal regions are fine. Maputo and Beira and the like. Inland is where the fighting is.

Aside from Maputo and Beira, anywhere else worth a visit?
How difficult would is it to cross from Tanzania to Mozambique and vice versa? Any issues with that?
