The most important piece of equipment you have on a journey of any length, what keeps your feet dry /trv/? I rock Docs because they look cool and don't give me blisters. Bad part is they are heavy as shit.

Yeah, I get compliments for my cherry red docs anywhere in the world, but fuck walking more than 5km in them. I got some adidas daroga plus shoes and they seem great for walking great lengths in city terrain thus far.

No. Not only are they awful for backpacking, they're awful for working any place but a desk.
If you want a good boot/shoe for backpacking, my recommendation is Merrell's (Moabs especially), Lowa's, Keen's, Danner's, and Redwings'. There are a few other good ones (I was lucky with a pair of Wolverines), but look for tried and true like those above. Check /out/ as well.

Flip-flops or tennis shoes. I regularly walk 10-15 miles per day minimum when I'm traveling and have never had any comfort issues. I also have a girlfriend and get laid when I'm single, so inb4 "lol how u gonna get laid in flip-flops :PPPP" memers.
