im going to berlin alone (job interview) thursday-sunday, i have one friend there but dont want to hang on to them too much
what should i do apart from berghain?

You won't get into Berghain, don't even try. If you'll only be there with 2, maybe 3 days of free time, then you should just stick to the main attractions that Berlin has to offer because there is quite a lot to see. A quick google search of "Berlin" will show you all that you need to know.
