Hello folks, I'm planning the trip of a lifetime for myself and my partner (the trip of our lifetime, I'm sure many of you seasoned travelers won't be phased by this) and would love suggestions on editing the route, or where I need to visit, places good to stay at etc just any general tips for this specific journey.
We live in the UK and are going to get a ferry the the netherlands, spend a few days in amsterdam and work our way up to denmark, spend some time there, go up to sweden, then finland, then russia (st petersburg) then backtrack to go to norway, then (if easy enough to do so) go to the faroe islands but I can see myself removing that part, then going to Iceland for at least a week and finally returning to the UK, we have just under £4000 each for the journey, 2 months to spare and are planning on starting April/May.
I would love any suggestions or critiques of the journey people have to offer.

What sort of advice are you looking for though? Anything specific?
It seems like a decent enough route. Research getting visas for Russia before going, you can't just show up at the border. Faroe Islands are interesting but might be too expensive for this trip, I suggest spending that money in Iceland instead. Unless you specifically want to see them, there's really nothing in particular that is great about the Faroes, they're more of a novelty location. Your budget is good for this trip, even though these are some of the worlds most expensive countries, 2k per person per month is more than enough.
