I am a UK citizen looking to take part in the IEC program.
I'm really confused about a few things, I've been trying for a while now but I can't seem to complete the questionnaire to determine if I am eligible to apply. I make it part way through and it tells me I am not eligible to come to Canada through the IEC program, and so I can't make my profile. For the last year I was under the impression that I met all of the criteria for taking part in IEC.
I'm really worried about this, I was hoping to use the program (as recommended by boarder security themselves last time I came to Canada) to spend the required year with my girlfriend which will allow me to immigrate to Canada under her sponsorship.
Maybe I have all of this shit wrong, that's why I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.

Yeah I just checked the website and I get the same answer even though I answered the questions as a person from the UK who is eligible to apply for IEC would. I suggest contacting the high commission in London about it. The application process for a work-holiday should be easy, the one for Australia is just filling out the application directly, no questions asked.
Canadian immigration is kinda fucked up. As a citizen I get treated like a criminal almost every time I come back into this country.

Holy fuck i figured this shit out. I was supposed to choose British citizens as opposed to United kingdom and colonies on the first page of the questionnaire. I feel kinda stupid now.
Thanks though.
