Has anyone been to Fukuoka? Whats it like? I have been searching around I can't find all that much from people who have been there.
Cheers

we have a Japan general up where that answer might get answered quicker, but generally speaking it's a very nice city. Relatively big, good food, nice temperature and some great natural places to visit. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask

I've been there, but I really can't tell you much. It's a nice place.

I've lived here in Fukuoka for 2 years now, ask me anything

Are the girls easy?

Would you recommend someone who works in tech but found Tokyo too be overwhelming move out there?

What's the music/weeb shit scene like?

How fucking dumb are you? It's a fucking city, it has hundreds of thousands of girls -- some are easy, some are not. Just like you know, everywhere else.

Are there alot foreigners? How do the Fukuoka natives think about them? Is it quite uninteresting?

I apologize for the tone of my post, /trv/ is not like that -- nor normally am I.

The point stands, but I should have expressed it in a more congenial way.

Same as any city.
Since its Japan, the general answer is a resounding no.

I haven't heard of many tech jobs but its definitely not as overwhelming as Tokyo. Big city, bit not a concrwte jungle.

Music scene is ok, nothing major. Weeb stuff is much less pronounced than osaka or tokyo, nothing like akiba or nihonbashi, for instance, no maid cafes, theres like 1 mandarake.

There are foreigners, but far less than in tokyo or kansai. I almost never see them unless its some festival or culture exchange event type thing. Its not like some rural place where people look at you like an alien though, theyre very used to it. That said, people will generally expect japanese, whereas in tpkyo if you enter a 7'11 they may immeaditely come at you with broken english

hey man fukuoka too
