Okay so I recently got a job in a larger european airline, which means when I have time of, I can can get plane tickets (Star Alliance) cheap as hell, and get pretty good discounts on some of the major hotels and car rentals.
So I was wondering if you guys could recommend me some good travel destinations for traveling alone. I just want to see the world and get some perspective.
Pic related, rly enjoy my own company, though I have nothing against being social.
Where have you already been, what sort of stuff interests you? My mind-reading skills seem to be weak today...
I've been round in most of Europe, when traveling with my family, when i was a boy. Well, art, culture, nature, literature, architecture, food, people, music, most things interest me rly.
My bad, it was a little vague, but I really don't know where to start.

Anywhere in particular? I know nothing about Thailand.

Sorta a vague answer to what is sorta a vague question, then...
I have not,of course, been everywhere (though it is on my list)but from where I HAVE been:
>art
New York is probably not hard t equal, but it is hard to beat, art wise -- especially if you count performing arts.
>culture
Not really sure how to define that distinctly from "art."
>nature
Galapagos Islands are astonishing, US national park system is full of options.
>literature
No real ideas
>Architecture
Rome, but you have likely been there. So China, take in the Great Wall, some amazing modern architecture in Beijing and other cites, traditional Chinese buildings scattered everywhere.
>Food
Thailand is too obvious, so I'll say Vietnam - the Asian/French fusion creates a very nice cuisine. Do a street food tour in Hanoi.
>People
There are neat people everywhere -- props to Colombia, I guess, folks there were amazingly nice.
Hope that is some help.

It help's a great deal thank you. I obviously had an idea of some of this, but as you say to have been there, I'll note this for sure.

Are you using ID travel? May I ask what airline?
>>1047645
Yes, It's by ID travel. I work for Scandinavia Airlines, but they are a part of Star Alliance, so I have acces to flying cheep on standby tickets with a lot of airlines.
>>1047659
Heh. I work for the same company. I should probably stop asking questions now...
>>1047660
Well, then you should know all about it then. Yes, maybe, just for my curiosity, is it as a Dane, Swede or Norwegian?
>>1047662
Swedish.
