As someone who has been into photography for 5 years and is just getting into videography... fuck, do I hate selfie sticks. I was actually warming up to them but now I realize just how awful they make photos and videos.
Seriously guys, it's so easy to record videos without a selfie stick. You don't have to spend much money on expensive tripods or other gadgets. Use props you find on your way or buy a gorillapod for less than a selfie stick, get a little creative by using a tree or a wall. But whatever you do, recording yourself standing in a spot and spinning around with a selfie stick is not good watching. It looks fucking awful.
