I'm pretty hyped for Freedom Planet 2, though I think I'll need an adjustment period for Lilac and Milla's redesigns. They're not bad, but they're distinctly different, with Lilac's lighter skin color and Milla's lack of that ankle jacket thing. Carol's still a cute, though, and she's got a cute six-pack to boot. As long as they keep the same basic motif of "run, kill, look at our sprite work", I'm game for whatever's in the works.
Torque's DLC is something I'm looking forward to, but not craving. From the beta, he plays like a walking tank: slow, despite his dash capacity, and packing enough heat to clear everything around him without difficulty. Even his lowered health didn't make me concerned, as every single one of his subweapons had the utility to clear rooms without thought or even ammo concerns, especially with boomerang weapons.
Torque feels like a slower, more conscientious way to go through Freedom Planet, but without much concern for balancing or maintaining a decent pace. If they made it more like Gunstar Heroes and gave him some mobility and close-range options, I'd be satisfied, but for now I'm just lukewarm on him.
