Yeah, the rainbow dreads is really conjecture-y that it'd be Bismuth, but that PLUS the fact that the gem we could see on it was in an L shape, which would be impossible for any kind of gem cut besides something like Bismuth makes it a lot more believable.

Actually, it does match, in a very weird way though.
Essentially, it matches perfectly if the "gem" we see on the shadowy figure is actually the empty part within Bismuth.
As in, we're actually not seeing the gem, but rather a hole in it's chest that's part of the gem.

do you guys think alexandrite is the only tri-fusion (technically quadri-fusion but garnet functions as one gem 99% of the time so w/e) that we're going to see ever? the only other one i'd imagine us seeing is rose × garnet × pearl, seeing as they were the original 3 gems and fit the same "team" dynamic alexandrite has, but i can't think of a reason why it'd be necessary to have a flashback with that fusion.
Every Lapis fusion will be nuts. If a fusion as untested and unstable as Malachite could overpower Alexandrite, imagine how unstoppable a secure and stable fusion of her's would be.

We are an incredibly long ways off from a stable HW gem fusion for sure. It might even be endgame material. Lapis hasn't mentioned her stance on fusion, but it's easy to imagine it'll be like how she feels about water at the moment. That could easily lead to a plot point of her getting reacquainted with fusion again though
Peridot and what she'll contribute to fusions is also still unclear. No gem weapon, powers, or abilities to speak of. She's weak, slow, and by far has the least experience in anything to do with fusion. There's her intelligence, but Pearl's just as smart yet that quality doesn't appear to do anything outstanding for her fusions.
