I'm not sure any one character turned me into a furry. My first run-in with furry porn was when I was browsing some hentai gallery and noticed there was a "furry" category. Being the curious 12 year old that I was, I ventured in there, and 11 years later, here I am.
If I had to pick a favorite though....that's still really tough, because I've got so many. I'm heavily biased towards avians though, so Blaziken, Biyomon, Falco, Pavita, etc...all deliciously lovely choices that I'll never turn down.

Oh there was tons, you just had to sift through page after page of shitty artists you had no idea would be any good or not through their pages on FurAffinity and VCL. And almost none of it was NEARLY as high-quality as almost all of it is today by all the even remotely semi-popular artists. And it almost all had that weird, corny, extremely Western look to it before anime had influenced it much at all, not that I minded hot cartoon furry babes in actual cartoons (i.e. Minerva Mink, Lola Bunny) but with the amateur artists it was never ever anywhere close to that good. It was kind of a nightmare, but it was fun when that was the best we had.
