Alright, so, as a write-fag I've spent a huge chunk of the past many hours thinking all kinds of extremely depressive thoughts and fantasizes, a lot of it connected to making a semi-autobiographical story.
It's fucking Father's Day coming up, and it seems as if nothing would providing more comfort, relief, and happiness than resolving the Father-versus-Step-Dad-versus-Me sea of hateful emotions with some 45 caliber aspirin for all of us.
And I've seriously thought of writing this out, making it from the point of view of the killer offing his biological family then step-family to deal with the crippling anxiety and worthlessness of life. Predator character co-adopted by prey works it out, commits suicide by ZPD, everything. Run it through in my mind.
I don't even know what to think about so much of life anymore. What exactly is the point of existing if you're just going to be this fucking tiny, worthless, small, anxious, nervous, little bit of a thing under this bullshit. Until they're dead. Or you're dead.

Little Rodentia is an example, but even certain public buildings also provide a barrier. Because of this, it could be assumed that it can be difficult for different sized mammals to have friendships or private gatherings, when a space for activity is needed.

Its not really that hard. What I do is just write a brief description of what is gonna happen in each chapter. A paragraph at most usually.
Its mostly just so you know exactly how your story is gonna go from the beginning, so you don't start writing the story and eventually hit a point where you need to change an earlier chapter, but oh shit that chapter is already written and posted online so now you are screwed.

The problem with noncon comes when you do new character raping established character (well, as "established" as jack is), you have to balance the reader's emotional response.
Like, the first part, when teddy and jack are... raping... eachother?.. (Weird situation, I guess) there's not a lot of blame to throw on either party because they're both reasonably sympathetic characters who're all drugged up
But then at the end when it's some asshole druglord getting blown by jack, he's just some random asshole druglord getting blown by jack. That's pretty much what the reader has to go on. So it's like "wow this guy's being a cunt", but unlike, say, the finNick fic you posted earlier, where nick was arguably also a cunt, there's no counterbalance from your existing bias towards the existing character. So the fic ends with jack fucking a character you'd like very much to see shoved dick-first into a blender, which is frustrating.

To be fair, it could be attributed to moral decay- in what is chronologically one of the first books, Martin the warrior and company find a dead, elderly searat near his camp on the beach. In short, it's more a matter of "Vermin who go good tend to get backstabbed by other vermin." That and, while there are some allusions to peaceful vermin, the only ones shown are Hordes/pirates/slavers/armies led by cruel tyrants.

I got into a huge argument with a friends about Zelda.
WHAT, AT ITS CORE, IS ZELDA'S DESIGN?
What is its cardinal function that makes it a Zelda game?
In my opinion, it isn't the "go into holes and get lost" line, it isn't about swordplay and combat, it isn't even the Tri Force and the lore and the story and the Ganons and the princess and anything at all.
So, different question to explain my reasoning: what is a Metroidvania?
Easy! A Metroidvania is a game where you have a map of the world that has roadblocks and locked doors and chest-high-walls that you need to find items and abilities and keys to bypass and find shortcuts for, thereby expanding and changing the map.
In that vein, in my opinion, a Zelda game is a game where you have a world with dungeons, and those dungeons have things that stop you from exploring half of them until you find an item that unlocks the other half, then you fight a boss-- probably by using that item to make it easier.
...but I feel like that's the element of Zelda games that Nintendo is emphasizing the least. They're emphasizing the open world, the combat, the story, the everything else about the game. I feel like the games are worse for not hitting this design conceit, and yet all their other franchise games still hammer their design conceits-- so why aren't they doing that with Zelda?
I don't know. Maybe I'm completely wrong about Zelda. I love Nintendo, but I'm just not burning to play their games like I used to.

We definitely are making the game non-VR compatible. We design for HMDs first and foremost, but we want our customers to be able to play the game however they want (which is also why we have no exclusivity agreement).

The new Zelda looks like it's returning to the NES Zelda's roots with a really open world that you can explore at any time with hidden secrets scattered about.

From what I've heard they're taking a lot of the 'open-world' design from the original LoZ, so you're able to go wherever you want and find those obstacles and choose to head someplace easier or try to brute-force your way through.
I get what you mean about the apparent emphasis on every other aspect of the game, this newest trailer they dropped made me feel like I was watching fantasy MGS:V montage with all the sneaking around, attacking enemy encampments, and general focus on ways to interact with the oveworld.
Hopefully Nintendo knows what they're doing.
Related note, how did you feel about Skyward Sword? I was surprised to hear a lot of fans disliked it so much; I didn't think it was as good as Twilight, but I still enjoyed it.
