I agree. I'm still trying to find a way to draw the Louds where you can still recognize them, but in a way that feels more flexible for the expressions I want. Because right now, the designs are more animation friendly than illustration friendly. By that, I mean that the designs have side mouths and reused assets to cheat some of the angles the characters move at. It sorta makes sense because Savino really wants this to look like a comic strip so no complex angles or anything, so it means I have to figure out how to keep the appeal and bend the rules around when drawing them from, well, those tricky angles because I'm not bound to the same idea.

No man you're not. My grandmother died last year and it hit me really hard, she was like another mother to me as well. She lived with me and my family my whole life and her room was right next to mine. When she was place in hospice care, I knew the end was near. I still remember that Friday, I didn't want to be on the same floor if she died, I felt like it would be too much for me to handle. I clearly remember I was checking out /gfg/ on my phone in the living room when I saw a ball of light out of the corner of my eye. I looked at it and it disappeared, a few minutes later my mom came downstairs to tell me she died. I felt guilty for days for not being there when she died, but then I remembered that ball of light and took as a sign that she was saying goodbye to me. I eventually stopped crying and I didn't cry again until the funeral a week later.
What my point is anon is that a lot of people react differently to when loved ones die, don't beat yourself about it and don't let anyone else tell you other wise.
