Team battle, she specifcally asked Jaune for instructions and listend to him when he told her to block May's shot. All she had questions about was their team attacks.
Her Death - She wanted to save him, yeah it can be viewed that she didn't believe he'd survive the battle, but she tried to send him to relative "safety" by sending him away from the fight. In her frame of mind, it was a safer thing to do (not correct, just saying her point of view under a highly stressful and traumatic situation) then to have him come along with her.

Jaune, being an intelligent and sound tactician, is also going to be more inclined to say "Fuck bitches, I have to git gud, there's a world to save".

Why would he seek out love NOW? He's only 17/18 years old and he doesn't need the distraction.
Jaune seems to be the type who will disregard women for the life of the series, and then in the epilogue finale we cut to him as a 35 year old man. Living on the family farm with his nameless, pretty but not beautiful wife as they watch their nameless, their son and two daughters running around and playing with some chickens and the family zwei. Hailed as a hero the world over, yet choosing to live out his life in solitude.
Honestly, I don't know why people feel like every character in the show either needs to be paired off, and you certainly don't need every main character to fall in love with another main character of equal importance and then fast forward to them having OP main protagonist babies. This shit doesn't need to turn into Naruto.
They're teenage soldiers and shit just went down. None of the good guys are going to try to fuck, woo, romance, or seduce anyone for a while, save for maybe Ren and Nora just because that dynamic has been around since before the series started.
