Honestly, that's from writing the smut. Physicality leads to you describing a lot of motion and mental state, which I'm realizing is probably also the basis for my weightiness in my dialogue. Also great for practice on imbuing characters with agency is fight scenes, which have the bonus for me of keeping dialogue brief due to circumstance.
And then greentexting is just fun in spare time and helps me work on short but punchy lines.

It's really a personal choice. I don't regret what I've made, (the death of the .heroku I stored a bunch of shorter stuff on was pretty demoralizing) but I'm not a huge fan of all of it either; especially since it's kind of pidgeonholed me with writing lewds, which I don't mind but it does incline me away from less sexual subjects sometimes.

I'm not sure how much I like Judy being afraid of Finn. On one hand, she's likely face much MUCH scarier things as a cop (you even mention this in the fic), and is basically a tiny powerhouse.
On the other, you've very effectively characterized Finn as absolutely deadly and pants-crappingly terrifying. So for Judy to be scared of him after the shit he pulled isn't too much of a stretch.
I'll be fine with it if it doesn't make her less effective as the story goes on. We don't need another weak female protagonist.
