I've explained it once before but I find one of the roots of my affinity with dragons is the fact that they are almost always characterized as strong, unyielding, and tough. I use them as a sort of inspiration.

As for graphics, go with the Morrowind Graphics Extender (MGE)
Be wary if you plan on playing a beast race in Morrowind. Unlike Skyrim, Morrowind is an actual roleplaying game and in Vvardenfell, beast races are usually slaves or vagrant low-lifes due to racism and the island's culture. You wont be able to wear boots and certain helmets and the people like you less. Disposition does actually matter; it not at all esential, but having people tell you to fuck off and withhold information, or even tell you incorrect information, gets old after awhile

Doom is my go-to game for 15-60 minutes of fun during downtime. But it's usually just Smooth Doom (or sometimes Brutal Doom) with the occasional map WAD. I've never been huge into modding it. Currently playing Heretic for the first time.

It's pretty good. I'd suggest going Technician if you want to explore the assemblies system as it allows you to make more mistakes by recovering packs at the cost of the weapon, and also have a more easy means of getting modpacks. His other passives are kinda shitty for combat so that's where every other class comes into play once you've got some basic ones (two modpacks) figured out.
The monster variants from the pack provided though can be kinda bullshit, some of the shit they pull off will come at a complete surprise. Kind of mandatory to prevent you from steamrolling with a high-power plasma gun you have 3000+ ammo for though.
Though it might get repetitive, OBLIGE as a random map generator is pretty well suited for DoomRLA runs. beamflashlight.pk3 or dd_flashlight.pk3 (preference thing) might be of use for a convenient toggle flashlight like Half-Life's since it might get a bit dark. demonsteele-nowthatswhaticallmidi-v3.5.pk3 is great with OBLIGE, giving you a MIDI soundtrack made better with a good synth + soundfont that will play over the stock Doom 2 soundtrack.
Definitely consider checking /vr/ for some cool shit they've made. And before anyone asks, I don't think anything particularly /scaly/ worthy has really been made.
