You style is a bit stiff. I realize you want to paint the scene, but the greentext format doesn't work very well with an abundance of details. You also seem a bit too eager to use big words, which makes the text feel a bit unnatural. Take the first sentence, for example.

"Approaches" doesn't make much sense here. If it's already shining into your eyes, it has already finished its approach and arrived, right? Not to mention, the word feels sort of clunky and is a better fit for a sentence like "the train is approaching the station". Personally, maybe I'd write it more like this:

It create a softer feel, that fits the morning setting, and implies that the window is facing east without having to write it out (which, if the direction isn't very important for the rest of the story to begin with, feels very superfluous).
The second sentence sort of continues the trend.

"[...] the sheets of the bed". Well, it's pretty obvious they're of the bed, right? You already said you were hesitant to get up, implying you're in bed. "[...] turn away from the sunlight".
