Funny thing is that some users actually mentioned this in the comments of that last announcement.
They were saying that it's highly likely that this information was stolen, so force a password change for everyone. After all the people who took the site down, have had a week to mess with it already. They've probably stolen absolutely everything from that site and apparently people started reporting their accounts getting broken into.
