Got more two Sightline figures coming my way. Will this GI Joe trooper mode EVER get a wide release so us fans will finally be able to army build without spending $30-40 a pop for him? Or must we forever be stuck with the inferior dogshit Joe Army Building Troopers (Steel Brigade and the Retaliation army builder)?
Aw man, I was just gonna post the new thread, had a sweet picture for it too. Oh well next time baby.

• Series one of Boss FIght's H.A.C.Ks incoming and figures have started to be sent out and go for ridiculous prices on Ebay. Backers get their orders in two shipments and pre-orders will ship after that's all done. International backers have been contacted on if they wanted to wait for all items to be shipped from their pledge or not.
• G.I Joe Status: got a convention coming this year, the box set looks pretty solid if you want Sky Patrol and back pack gliders. F.S.S 4.0 is currently shipping, 6 figures of the 13 (13th being a mystery). Panic as no retail line in sight this year. Pythona soon, weep as pics surface of the 3rd cancelled Amazon 4 pack from 2013.
• Marauder Taskforce figures: New colors from last year's kickstarter in-stock. Valkyrie battle waifus aiming for around mid year, but hopefully before Christmas. Head paint masters shown, not enough time to show off more pics as they have a schedule to keep.
• Hiya Colonial Marines and Powerloader incoming sometime, maybe this month, maybe next month... git sum.
• Oritoy Acid Rain: has a new civilian mech variant releasing soon, after that civilians, females and enemy troopers with big shoes and battle robot types. They look good, but can you afford them? WELL CAN YOU?
>>5597684
>but can you afford them?
No, considering I saw a rock rampage set and was $2 short for the motherfucker. Being unemployable sucks.
>>5597560
>likes Sightline
>hates two superior army builders
Sightline is such a poorly articuled figure. I really disliked Duke too
FSS shipment three was sent out last week and was made of Pathfinder and Jammer.
someone accidentally got shipment 5 in and it was Billy and Interrogator.
News from botcon points to FunPub isn't in Charge of the Collector's club any more....but Hasbro is taking a more active part in it. so there is hope for the future.

>>5597808
Sightline/Ultimate Duke in Troopbuilder mode is better because it's pretty realistic grunt design. Far more normal military design than the Steel Brigade and Halo helmet wearing Retaliation grunts.
>>5599295
Some new Joe news from Botcon: the next Crossover Transformers/GI Joe set is going to have Black hooded Cobra Commander, Ninja Force Scarlet, Masterpiece Ratbat, Legends Megatron in G2 colors, and the female robot scientist from the story in the GI Joe comic where Megatron gets rebuilt into a tank.
I have to agree. The Ultimate Duke with alternate head/Sightline figure is a good "modern Army" troop figure.
>>5599166
Desert Vipers are better - but are pretty costly.

>>5599166
I like the gear more than anything, and shock trooper of course was the main reason. The rock viper has terrible lower arms.
>>5599295
if you want realistic, just buy a bunch of Snake Eyes and say they're all generic tacticool black ops dudes, because that's all he really is.
That Duke figure is shit though. His range of motion is pretty bad, especially compared to the GI Joe grunts.
I prefer my stuff to be sci-fi-ish though, hence my like for Cobra soldiers.
>>5599792
I think what makes Ult Duketrooper/Sightlinetrooper work is that we haven't gotten a realistic soldier troop builder from Hasbro ever and it makes it a novelty people flock to.
The fact that the figure in it's various roles are also hard as hell to buy also makes it more appealing than the other troop building figures.
>>5599813
>>haven't gotten a realistic soldier troop builder
What about the Rise of Cobra Pit Commando?
>>5599813
>Ult Duketrooper/Sightlinetrooper work is that we haven't gotten a realistic soldier troop builder from Hasbro ever
Uhhh.... Snake Eyes.
Beachhead.
The first movie Duke.
Then there's all those generic blue uniform GI Joe figures from Rise of Cobra.
There's been a lot of "realistic" generic army buildable figures and a lot of them have way better range of motion than Retaliation Duke.
I don't know why Hasbro had such a hard on for the shock trooper arms/hands, they are fucking everywhere but are shit at posing.
At least they "look" cooler than the awful Duke arms, which I think are the absolute worse.
>>5600104
Cause they're good, solid military uniform arms.
Granted they need some minor tweaking to be perfect.
>>5599829

Having actually been in the Army, it's not all manlets homie.

If he's trying to army the Philippine Army, then maybe it would make sense.
>>5601183
The ninja backstory came in GI Joe #21 (the famed silent issue which introduced Storm Shadow in the comics and revealed that SS and SE had the same ninja tattoo). l
It was not until 1985 and the release of Snake Eyes V2 (which had the visor and the first SE to come with a sword) that Snake Eyes became a ninja.
The cartoon had him in his original costume for the first mini-series (the MASS Device) but the second mini-series had his V2 Ninja Gimp suit.
The comic IIRC had him in his ninja/V2 suit with zero fanfare; IIRC he started wearing it around #43/44 after the introduction of Wade Collins and the death of the Hard Master. Outside of a character making a one-off comment about Snake Eyes having a new uniform, it was never really made a big deal like how the V3 costume was stolen from a member of Cobra created for the comics.
>>5600533
God damn.
I would have taken him
On a side note: anyone know of any remaining major characters/variations of existing characters that still need a modern remake of them?
Captain Gridiron, Globulous, Cobra-La Royal Guard, General Flagg come to mind

And seriously, manlets do have it easier. Longer life span, less stress on joints, less weight when doing pull ups, smaller target, comfy in tightly spaced armored vehicles, etc etc. Probably the only thing they suck at is running and jumping.
And checking shit out, this article is pretty interesting
>Young military men who are shorter or taller than the average male may have a higher risk for depression than their fellow servicemen
>men shorter than average, or less than 5 feet 8 inches; and 3) men taller than average, or above 6 feet 1 inch.
Feels good to be ideal height. Tall enough to look down at most people and look over crowds, yet short enough to not have any medical problems.

Ult Cobra Commander

Gi joe resolute pack
A dollar general trooper
And a shock trooper
Locally I got a
Shock trooper
50ann pack with gen hawk
50ann pack lowlight vs night viper

The one Ive liked the less has been the cobra trooper
And the figure Ive been most disappointed with has been low light.
The shadow tracker looks the coolest by far.

>>5604952
That's a shame. Looks great in the picture!
Got the 5 POA Stormtrooper Squad Leader. An alright figure for 5 POA, but I immediately demoted him to promote one of the Black Series Troopers instead, haha. The Squad Leader's weapons harness works excellently with the Black Series troopers.
Wish I could say the same for the heads of the various 3.75" Kylo Ren figures. Had wanted to do some head swaps between the variations, but they all have different sized ball joints for their heads, grr.

bumping this question about finding a mummy case and...
got a question about Spiderman noir.
Are the feet actually just held on the joint by small little pegs or are are the additional little bits down there actually supposed to be fused to the foot?
>>5607425
tiny little pegs, like GI Joes, but there shouldn't be any trouble unless you twisted it off.
You can apply a ton of force any other way, but twisting it off? Like a bottle cap.
>>5607313
Neat, can you give us a run down on how the Wal Mart 3 3/4inch First Order Stormtrooper is as a figure?
>>5607425
There's full ankle rockers. Try putting it to a hairdryer or immersing it in hot water (not boiling) for a minute to heat it up. Twist it around, season the joints.
Bob's going to have hearing issues if he doesn't already.
>>5607457
They seem really loose compared to the actual joints and sort of slip off.
would it be a bad idea to superglue the pegs into the feet?
>>5608447
Heh, wouldn't be the first.
>>5608471
Yeah. Dont glue them in. Well, if you do, use a small dab, and keep moving the joint all ways until it dries. It will add a bit of grip but could also cause a joint to spilt apart.
>>5607425
He stands up pretty well. Did you get a bum one or something? I put an AA Nick Fury trenchcoat on him and he's still pretty stable.
I just found this page
http://www.oafe.net/reviews.php
Not as good pictures like General's Joes but the reviews seem less fanboyish?
>>5608738
The feet just kind of slip off.
The bottom of both joints (where the peg is) have globs of plastic a little back from the peg that almost look like they should be attached to the feet.
>>5608810
Sounds like it pulled some of the feet withnthe joint when it was initially played with. I had an omega red do the same. Ive had a ball joint split in half under the head. Those first turns and twists get paint caught and acts like glue.
You may be able to pur a small touch of glue on the pegs and reinsert. Just move it for a good bit so it wont lock in place. Little dab will do. If it doesnt do the trick, you can add more, but not easy to remove any.
Post your cobra troopers and assorted cobra infantry.
>>5607487
Sure! I'll start by saying that I personally really like the figure, but speaking as objectively as I can, it's more of an 'alright' figure.
It is very well-articulated, with plenty of POAs including hinges in the wrists. I have two main gripes about the articulation. First it uses those ball swivel/hinge joints in the hips, where the legs normally only hinge outwards, and you need to rotate the thigh in order to get the legs to swing out in different directions. Hasbro uses these types of hips all the time so it's nothing new, I just don't really like them personally, and the fact that the trooper has the holster on its right thigh means it's very obvious when you've got that thigh twisted around while you're trying to get the trooper's leg bent forwards or something.
Second articulation gripe is that the elbows have only a 45 degree or so bend, blah. One thing I've also read is that the upper torso ball joint can be very very loose on some figures, like bobblehead loose. All four of my troopers are OK on that front, but my friend has a couple that do exhibit this problem (he fixed it by jamming some tissue paper up inside the torso, haha).
On the upside his articulation in other areas is solid. You can bring his arms outwards 90 degrees despite the big shoulder armor pads (the shoulder armor tucks underneath his chest as you raise the arm, just like on the VC mold Clone Troopers, if you're familiar with 'em), and while they lack a tilt, his ankle hinges have a healthy amount of forward/back range (more than the Figuarts! haha) in addition to being able to rotate side to side.

Another positive is that the figure looks quite nice. They used a gloss white plastic for his armor which looks great, and there are a lot of of paint apps on the figure despite the overall simplicity (even going so far as to use gloss black paint specifically for the helmet lenses, which is a great touch). The downside is that finding figures with decent paint apps is a serious challenge. The helmets in particular have very spotty paint apps. The aforementioned helmet lenses look great, but the vast majority of the time the lens apps are applied crooked and it just looks terrible. Other problems include the brow line being crooked or not even forming a solid line. I'm not usually such a stickler for paint apps, but the helmet apps are just so sloppy on the majority of the troopers that it really stands out. I had to look through well over a dozen troopers before I found four that had decent helmet apps. Another misstep which is on all figures, is that the paint apps on his chest (that angled line on the top-center, and the row of black striping over his right breast) are never lined up with the molded detail they're meant to highlight.
Accessories are good, with both the rifle and pistol being included. Both weapons plug in nicely to the thigh holster, though while the trooper grips his pistol tightly with one-hand, the rifle is fairly loose when one-handed, but I don't think that's too big a deal.
con't
>>5609226
con't
Sorry, this got kinda long, haha. I seem to have spent most of my time griping about the figure, but overall I do really like it and I think it's a very good looking, fun 3.75" FO trooper (provided you find ones with decent paint apps, which again ain't easy). What brings it down to just 'alright' levels are the aforementioned gripes plus the price tag. 14 bucks per figure (after tax) is steep, and it makes it all the more annoying if you get one with misaligned paint apps.
If the figure had slightly better range of motion (elbows in particular), and more importantly the paint apps were consistently good, I'd have no problem recommending this figure despite the high price tag. As is, I can only really recommend it provided you aren't turned off by the higher price and can either inspect the paint apps beforehand or easily return it should the paint apps be terribly off.
>>5609232
>fun 3.75"

>>5609281
>> I'm not familiar with the ROTS Clone Gunner, how did they do the hips on that figure?
basically it allowed for forward and back (like a T-Hip) without the thigh having to rotate otwards but also out to the side. Like the universal shoulder joints but not as big. It did make the Gunner and the Jet-Pack trooper that used the same construction a little wider in the hips.
Plus both figures had gimped arms which a lot of Star Wars figures at the tie had.
Yo Desky, Where did you get that ammo pack vest for that scale on the Stormy? Looks good but never seen it in this scale before.. Custom?

Been away from Joe collecting for some time, but decided to get back in the game after snapping up a few Joes at a toy show.
So, with that said, I just got the FSS figure, Barricade, and he's now my new favorite Joe. It's one of the best figures done by the club. So many people whined about the helmet and choice of parts prior to it's release, but this guy is badass. The helmet's cool, it has a flip up visor so he's more like a swat guy to combat your Alley Vipers. Get him if you don't have him before the price rises on this guy.
Not my pic btw, but a photo of what the guy looks like.
My pair of grunts came in the mail this weekend.
>>5614818
You found people offloading the shovel-man individually? That's nice!
>>5614820
Yeah. He's arguably one of the most highly desired figures of the 50th Anniversary line due to the fact that, unlike the other troop builder figures, the Ultimate Greenshirt figure is actually highly desired by GI Joe fans given how rare he is and how Retaliation Ultimate Greenshirt is next to impossible to find at a reasonable price compared to the other mort Troop builders from the 50th Anny line.
>>5614828
I was lucky to get a whole bunch of Steel Brigade Delta figures off of ebay earlier last year. They're my favorite greenshirts and definitely look better than the regular steel brigade figures.
I've yet to get sightline since he's the only other figure from that set I want and I can't justify the price for him.
>>5614642
Great, now I'm tempted to spend 30 bucks on this figure I didn't care about a minute ago.
>>5609940
GI Joe Vs Cobra is redoing a storyline from the original Marvel series.
Baroness was created exclusively for the comic, along with Dr Venom and Kwinn the Eskimo, because in the beginning of the toyline, Cobra was basically a blue shirt henchman and Cobra Commander.
When more Cobra henchmen started coming out, Hasbro gave the order to off the original comic henchmen (Venom, Kwinn, Scarface). Baroness however got an 11th hour reprieve but not before Hama killed her off by having Cobra Commander fire a missile at Destro that Baroness saved him from, by driving her HISS tank into it's path and being blown up.
Since he knew that would piss off Destro, the whole I tried to kill you but killed the woman you love thing, CC pinned the whole thing on Major Bludd, who had to go into hiding. But the next issue revealed that Baroness lived (due to Hama getting her a reprieve and Hasbro deciding to give her her own figure in the third wave for the toy line) but was horribly burned.
Major Bludd rescued her from GI Joe custody (and killed comic created Joe General Flagg) and took her to a plastic surgeon in Germany who performed plastic surgery on her to undo the damage done to her face and body.
A running joke in the series was that Baroness looked the same after the accident (though afterwords, she switched to her now trademark Black catsuit after wearing a blue one for the first year and a half of the comic, to synergize with her toy and cartoon version) but characters constantly told her she looked "different" after having her surgery.
The plotline later got revisited when Snake Eyes went to Baroness's plastic surgeon to get his own face fixed. The doctor was one of many plastic surgeons who Baroness had on her private payroll to basically give her the heads up if Snake Eyes ever tried to get his face fixed, so she could re-mutilate his face and then kill him, as payback for his role in her brother's death

God I love the classic Hama comics...
>>5614642
So is he like an homage to Robocop?
>>5615850
The original was, so there's still some Robocop elements to his look, but they changed the helmet on the new figure to give his mouth some protection from incoming fire. He's glorious if you like more Sci-Fi like Joes or flashy ones or even just a cool Swat guy.
>>5614848
He's damn good.
>>5615986
He looks like C3PO's even gayer brother.
>>5616000

Where is this game arcade from? Never saw one in the 1:18 scale
What do you know old cobra stash house is an artist like bizzaro Bob Ross.
Little desolate mountain. A bit of gloomy sky.
>>5616336
Are we ever going to get awesome detailed military vehicles in 1/18 again? I missed the BBi train and they are very expensive now.
>>5616722
Power Team Elite World Peacekeepers.
They show up heavily in Big Lots around Christmas time.
This is one I painted, but just out of the package they're pretty great.
The Interrogator that someone was shipped early before they sold it off on Ebay.
The Billy Arboc that got shipped early
>>5609452
Dang, just in terms of playability, that sounds way better.
>>5610187
>>5610192
Well sleeveless shirts are the best, and trench coats are awesome, so I figured hey, why not combine the two! And I was very correct to do so, super stylish/comfortable.
Haha, but honestly speaking I don't even own a trench coat, so that's a very interesting interpretation of the reflection!
>>5614642
Man, I can't believe that's a Joe, I get such a Cobra vibe from him, haha. Even the design on his chest looks like a cobra's face with the fangs and everything.
>>5616722
>I missed the BBi train
I have a Pave Hawk, Little Bird, two Kiowas, and a few HMMWVs.
You're really not missing much. The Pave Hawk is fucking huge and difficult to do anything with other than display, and because action figures are made out of plastic and not flesh and cloth it's difficult to actually fill up the passenger area.
I had to disassemble it and take the bench seats out.
>>5617378
I fucking love em. I was an Army brat, so properly scaled military vehicles was just my bag. Long ago cast aside Joe vehicles for them.
Dunno how happy Id be with the current prices, especially knowing what original retail was.
To answer the questions, you’re not likely to see cheap ones ever again. The occasional expensive re-release is probably it, sadly.
>>5609232
>>5609281
Not gonna Lie if I can find two more Black first order guys I plan on doing that FO Stormtroopers fix everything wrong with the OG Stormies.
>>5610956
Timber is grey and white canon wise so I'm thinking wait for a repaint to show up.
>>5614642
Criminally underrated. he's honestly one of the most surprising figures from the FSS as a whole and updating the 90's"ballistic armor " to Powered armor makes him even better. Customs of this guy using a SB Helmet and the Artic Destro body are a dime a dozen at this point and I'm glad the club went a different way...now if he had some blue on the torso he'd be perfect.
>>5616742
>>5616747
Easily the best of the current series such a great design that updates the character while making him look like he's ready for field ops can't wait to see him in person.
>>5616755
25 years and we finally got him, and he looks like Kurt Russells more intellectual brother. whats not to like?

Well, the only two that are confirmed as legit to have been sold so far on ebay was for a winning bid of over $130 for both figures. But that's because these two figs weren't supposed to ship yet and some people couldn't wait until they were out. Expect both figures to sky rocket in value though after their release. Pick them up for $30 a piece if you can and while you can.
>>5617635
>Hascon
It'll be interesting to see what they do.
I dont like this brand-mixing, it is too progressive and it will not work unkess the joes get even more sci-fi or something. Its gonna be early 90's all over again with the neon colors and space nonsense.
I really thought I wasn't gonna like Steel. Holy shit I was wrong.
>>5617536
I picked up mine in person at Toys R Us, except the Pave Hawk I got online for like $30 NIB. The Kiowas I got for $2 each on deep discount at TRU in like 2003 when I was in high school.
>>5617568
>Joe is the center of a Shared Universe
Joe needs to be the center of decent distribution.
I didn't see shit after the first wave of Retaliation, and I don't live in bumfuck nowhere.
>>5616738
Does that vehicle have a transport bay to store troops? if so, can joes fit? if not, is there a vehicle that serves as armored transport?
Even PTE is expensive nowadays.
I still want a transport Huey, the one from JSI is too narrow and has the missile tubes.
>>5609200
Are these legit like that?
Or you bought Black series Storm Troopers and added shit?
>>5618097
It does not. It as six hatch-covered cups figures stand in. It wouldn’t be impossible to get something closer to real-world seating in there, but it would take work.
A long body Huey would have been nice. Still, I’m happy to have the gunships.
>>5618230
>Still, I’m happy to have the gunships.
So do you have several JSI choppers? pics!
>>5618265
All mine are original 21st Century versions, but aside from paint they’re the same thing.
Good ole Bob. RIP.
>>5618097
What >>5618230 said. However with some exacto surgery I made the rear door work.
And here's Duke in one of the little "cups" with a hatch. Theoretically you could cut out the cup so the hatches just open into the hollow interior of the vehicle.
>>5618010
>Joe needs to be the center of decent distribution.
It's out of Hasbro's hands once their products are shipped to WalMart/KMart/Target/TRU distribution centers.
>>5618707
What would likely fix the problem of being able to actually find toys in the store would be to go back to a single year long wave like they did with RAH.
>>5618715
>implying that isn't also up to the retailers
There's no turning back.
Might as well join the overpriced club subscriptions for your figures or just order a box from entertainment earth.
>>5599672
I fuckin' love it.
>>5618819
>Might as well join the overpriced club subscriptions for your figures or just order a box from entertainment earth.
Nah I don't have an autistic need to continue buying a product when sellers and manufacturers are trying so hard not to sell me their product.
So I just stopped buying it.
>>5619334
So what do you buy, given the fact that every mass market line is a complete crapshoot as they're all handled the same way?
Just MGR? HACKS?
I hope Marauder inc. Does some more basic bodies. I like the ones they have right now but a body like >>5618428 would be awesome.
If they did some vietnam era outfits and gear my life would be complete
>>5619781
That is what I’m praying for, Vietnam era figures with Joe-style articulation. Hiya finally hit me with Joeticulated WWII Germans, and Vietnam Era-based Joe member customs are really something I'd like to pursue more.
>>5617894
As if the early 90's Joes weren't rad as fuck with Eco Warriors, and Battle Corps, and DEF and Mega Marines.
>>5619359
>So what do you buy
>HACKS?
I bought a few blanks.
When PTE is in stock at Big Lots I sometimes buy them. If I see a Chap Mei thing I like I buy it.
I also went back and started collecting Gundam action figures again, and aside from super rare items, I've been able to find pretty much whatever I want at a decent price. Even Japan only releases. And I get more enjoyment out of play and display.
>>5619968
For reference this is me
>>5611144
>>5611145
I still buy 1/6 stuff once in awhile for kit bashing. But with 1/18 being essentially dead at retail aside from 5POA garbage (and seasonal PTE and Chap Mei) I just don't bother with it as much anymore. And I've even contemplated selling all but a select few things that have sentimental value.
>>5620339
21st did both a VC and and NVA Regular to go up against their first line of Vietnam figures, though I imagine what you say is true. I remember the only OPFOR Bbi did were pilot figures.
I don’t even need enemy figures, I just need some period webbing and a new source of gear. I can fake the rest.
What's some other good sources of 1:18/3.75 accessories?
Looking to add some stuff to my Joe display - I remember there were some military sets several years ago with some really impressive kit. Not the Elite Peacekeepers, these were geared towards collectors.
>>5620370
Bbi did weapon packs for their police, modern military and WWII lines.
>>5620358
They also did Soviet Spetsnaz sniper and rifleman in Afghanistan.
And they were working on a Chechen motorized rifleman.
And they actually made terrorists.
>>5620339
>Doubt it's gonna happen
Why? Marauder inc. Is an indy toy maker. They could do it if they got the funding.
>>5620378
Thanks, exactly what I'm looking for.
Probably a longshot, but is there a site that has the accessories that have come with Gi-Joes over the years? Haven't found one yet - just going through the figure review sites
>>5619781
If they did just a basic tactleneck body, I would but a shitload of them. I got a lot of green ones from dollar general, but the black one used for Snake Eyes is hard to come by. Although the black ones used for RoC troopers are a cheap, readily available alernative.
>>5620395
>And they actually made terrorists.
Of course, the americans where the prime focus.
>>5616758
>billy arboc
>son of cobra commander
what? how did this happen?
>>5620545
Back in the 80s during the Marvel ARAH comic run.
>>5620529
>Of course, the americans where the prime focus.
Well yeah, but there were plenty of foreign topics covered. The Ghurka figure and six or so Spetsnaz figures I have are testament to that.
They covered a few topics that many companies didn't cover between then and now, especially having a generic "bad guy" and "terrorist" figure, both modeled after the Hollywood Bank shooters.
>>5620648
>The Ghurka figure and six or so Spetsnaz figures I have are testament to that.
pix? can't seem to find any of them
>>5618428

DO EET FAGGIT!
>>5620460
We should send them a few mails about this.
>>5620339
Eco Warriors gave us Zombie Initiative. DEF also had badass enemies. We got the Headman and his headhunters; a group that is solely about selling drugs and it's up to the Joes to stop 'em. Headman was even the only person the Joes ever killed in the cartoons.
>>5620666
>pix? can't seem to find any of them
I don't have photos of mine but here are some from the intertubes.
>>5620666
Also they had an entire line called "Villains" that included the two different terrorist figures (the only difference was one had a trench coat the other a field jacket), a generic mercenary, some named villain characters, and would have had a 70's mobster hitman and hostage figures. But those never made it out of prototype before 21st Century Toys collapsed.
They were also prototyping pirate figures and a horror/occult line that included zombies, vampires, vampire hunters, zombocalypse survivors etc.
Pistol Pete's 21C Checklist has been down for about a year for some reason, but right before it went down he added a shit ton of prototype photos of unreleased sets like the Alfa Spetsnaz, Chechen Rifleman, IDF Weapons Instructor etc.
>>5621026
I think anon was hoping you were talking about 1/18 scale figures and not 1/6.
For your favorite GI-Joe and Cobra characters, which figure version do you like best of them?
>>5620406
Yojoe details each individual accessory that comes with each figure but they are kinda low-res sometimes.
http://www.yojoe.com/action/
>>5621362
>For your favorite GI-Joe and Cobra characters, which figure version do you like best of them?
I consider the 50th anniversary edition of Beachhead to be the definitive version.
>>5621362
1920s Snake Eyes. He reuses a lot of parts from WWI Duke but the retooled parts make quite a lot of difference.
>>5621385
That Beachhead is pretty good. Yeah he's just a kitbash of previous versions. PoC and Retaliation Beachhead are excellent too.
How does the newer version of the cobra rattler compare to the recent releases? Same mold with better paint application, but wondering if any additional details have been added to make it really standout from the 80s release.
Any get Bombstrike with decent a face?
All the ones I've seen have fucking awful eyes.
>>5621413
Around 2013 all of hasbros offering have fucked up eyes. Its a flaw to find one with half decent paint.

They could but I doubt Hasbro would touch that.
it's far too "sensitive" for them. Scene-chewing maksed men maybe but actual NVA or Rag-heads never.

I mean I have the lockers but I want the walls doorways.
>>5622079
Cobra terrordrome components, maybe a retaliation 3 pack backdrop in the background.
>>5621362
Really dig the Resolute look, they are kitbashed but still maintain an uniformity and have different webgear to set them apart.
>>5622076
>We have sadly been down the Zombie road question with Hasbro before.
Well yeah, but I'm talking about a company who was doing this in the 2000-2001 time frame, before Zombies became huge pop culture staples (not just cult classics like NOTLD/DOTD) and got super played out by almost every big movie or tv show.
>>5622076
>This was another era and an entirely different line of Joes.
Well yeah, we were talking about 21st Century Toys, not Hasbro. But even at that time Hasbro was doing foreign figures in their Classic Collection line. They were very basic and undetailed, which led to the rise of 21C and Dragon at retail.
>Not gonna happen now.
I didn't say it was.

I really want to make some detailed scenery parts.
>>5622416
Is this the site?
http://build-a-rama.com/
>>5622474
No, the one I'm talking about is very clean, tidy site and they make their stuff with 3D printing or some shit. They had some images of the CAD blueprints they use.
Or tell me the word for small stuff on the walls to break uniformity/plain/boringness, they have a section with those and it was the first time I remember reading it, so maybe with that word and some google fu I could find it.
