Titans Return figures are trickling in to local retailers, check your local store and maybe you'll be lucky!
Old Thread - >>5766520
I got Blaster, Powermaster Optimus, Rewind, Sentinel Prime, and Blurr coming next week.
Pretty excited.
>>5768187
nice man, where'd you order from?
I'll wait for Takara's Blurr but I can't wait to find Chromedome and Hardhead
>>5768195
I'm surprised how nice the paint looks on Nightbeat but I'm most excited for that little dinosaur man, hope we get a full body for Squeezeplay
>>5768193
BBTS
I had a bunch of store credit saved up so I splurged.
>>5768185
>Ratbat is half the size of Fort Max
That picture is an amazing display of how trying to get exact about scale in TF is pretty fruitless. (I'm aware Fort Max wasn't titanic in Marvel)
>>5768187
Got Hardhead, Skullcruncher, Groove, Kaon, Rewind, and Wheelie waiting for the two TR Deluxes to come in before I ship.
Fuck I hope they come in soon.
>>5768210
>kaon
wut
>>5768201
squeezeplay's weapon mode is a bitch,i think it's handle is slightly larger than 5mm
>>5768214
Anarchus. 3P figure of Kaon from IDW. I don't tend to call figures by their unofficial names.
Nowhere have I read anything about the fact that Hardhead didn't come with the mini tank he was advertised with. Don't really care as I didn't want it anyway but I thought it was strange
>>5768195
That Optimus Prime looks great.
>>5768226
>I think he was just confused by all the rest being Hasbro stuff.
Yeah, it's no problem. I wanted to nab a Blaster too but BBTS is out of'em already. I'll have to scout around for another place that has'em I guess.
>>5768219
The Titan Master vehicles not being available in matching colors for the Deluxes is the only disappointing thing about the Hasbro releases.
>>5768249
I generally agree, but I'm glad I'll basically be able to get a mini-Apeface from Hasbro. Not that I mind getting yellow-Apeface with Weirdwolf.
>>5768230
there's a larger bootleg version of that i saw at Family Dollar, i should get it. It's black/purple, though.
Alright lads, I have been out of the game for over a year now. What toddies did I miss? No weak ass pussy transformers. I'm talking dope ass shit. Look I'm drunk so be kind to my wallet. Don't make me want all the things
>>5768279
Combiners returned from the depths of G1, and they're all fucking awesome except Menasor, who looks kind of funky without a 3rd party kit.
>>5768279
buy this
also combiners combiners everywhere
also headmasters are back
also sentinel prime actually getting an official figure
So what are the chances of TR having a Titanmaster Combiner team?
>>5768279
Better break out that lube son, because your wallet is about to get raped by all of these Combiner Wars figures.
>>5768279
You missed a year and a half of every character using about 4 different molds
>>5768302
Yeah, CW has a good amount of mold reuse, that can't be denied. Still, if you stick to JUST the G1 combiners you'll avoid a lot of it. Plus it doesn't hurt that the molds are good, either.
>>5768299
You also missed possibly the best Shockwave figure ever.
And the best Hotrod figure ever.
Also the best toy related videogame ever.
Also possibly the best iteration of the least popular combiner ever. Seriously, how'd he turn out so good?
Okay so drunk toy man here again. Who are the real winners though? The best of the best.
>>5768185
for what purpose is ratbat as big as fortmax?
>>5768321
All of the Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors stuff is great except Menasor. You basically need a 3P kit to make Menasor look good. The difference between CW and UW is paint apps and sometimes different molds used. CW goes for original G1 toy deco, UW goes for G1 show deco.
I'd definitely call MP28 Hotrod a huge winner.
>>5768321
Superion and Bruticus {and looks like Computron), Defensor is cool too but Bruticus does it better. Menasor is kinda crap sadly.
Thinking about modding a US Blurr into a cybertronian Nightbeat, and this is a rough (reaaaally rough) idea of what I'm going for.
Too loud?
>>5768320
But that isn't Piranacon.
It's really too bad Astrotrain is stuck with a shit train mold on top of being a shit headmaster. The figure is going to look really nice with Blitzwing.
>>5768362
I hate how Hardhead got a super intricate cannon with an opening compartment for the little guy, while everyone else's gun is just one giant spoon.
What emotion is this face meant to convey?
>>5768380
"Good god I need to shit"
>>5768380
Trying to hold back a fart and then realizing all too late, that it's a shart.
>>5768380
didn't Nightbeat and Siren's heads get switched? why didnt they repaint Siren's head into Nightbeat?
>>5768372
probably meant g1 sentinel
>>5768352
honestly I would argue not loud enough, Nightbeat usually has a really strong amount of yellow
>>5768445
and if you're really going in you could pick up some of the reprolabels and use them to add the flames and some old fashioned headmaster gimick stuff
>>5768352
You need swathes of yellow, do his entire thighs, go nuts.
>>5768322
No purpose except hackery.
Budinskey and his artists never fucking bothered to have Ratbat drawn consistently in size. He goes from small to huge often in the course of a single issue due to the fact that no one gave a fuck about sticking to one size/scale for him
>>5768452
and also generations Nightbeat's thrusters are pretty neat, might as well
but actually, I'd suggesting giving it a while before you decide to do it, I'm holding out hope that all these random heads will get bodies eventually
>>5768462
I'm thinking it wouldn't be hard for a third party or shapeways to make a TR adapter for that Generations Nightbeat.
>>5768458
>do his entire thighs, go nuts.
come on sexy macaulay face poster, you're slacking
>>5768468
I'd prefer a new body, I have that generations mold and I regret getting it, its just kinda lackluster. the chest doesn't stay down, the door wings ruin his silute is his arms aren't straight down, the backpack doesn't stay tabbed in, the hands don't hold his "guns" well, and the feet and legs are a bit loose.
plus its close, but not quite enough like Nightbeat for me. Head is great, but the colors are all off, blue chest, black thighs etc. He had painted lights and hubcaps though, not many have that these days
oh man, I just remember one of the really annoying things on him, he has these tiny little tabs on his forearms that seem to serve no purpose other than to prevent him from turning his elbows in toward the body., had to file mine off
>>5768459
>Budinskey and his artists never fucking bothered to have Ratbat drawn consistently in size
What's the writer supposed to do about an art fuckup?
>>5768362
can't wait to see what the TR Blitzwing will look like, I'm so thirsty for awesome toys of those two, (plus maybe even the full trio if Optimus does end up being Octane)
>>5768484
In the case of Budiansky he wasn't just a writer, but an editor at Marvel.
>>5768477
Oh, I would absolutely prefer a new unique mold (particularly for a Minerva if it were to happen), but I already have that body and if a $3 adapter would make him a headmaster, it'd be better than nothing.
So now that we know Takara is willing to heavily retool figures and create completely new ones for grater source accuracy, what are the odds of Takara actually creating a 6 member Leokaizer?
>>5768506
depends on budget and if they want to do a victory figure. they're doing a decepticon victorion so anything is likely.
>>5768506
unfortunately I'm very certain we won't be getting one, making a new deluxe limb is pretty big and wasn't expecting that at first either, so there's a chance, but doing a two member torso is unlikely imo, we'll probably get him as a legends weapon or chest piece or something if anything
>>5768506
Honestly, anything is possible, but two wholly new toys is a tall order.
>>5768506
Only time will tell. They did a ton of shit for Computron of all 'bots, so who knows.
Also I'm bored, have some OC.
>>5768506
I would have said wait until we see more details of Hasbro Liokaizer to see how many new parts they added (heads for the limbs, etc), but given how the Computrons basically diverge off completely from one another, I'd say anything goes.
>>5768213
what's this one called again? had it as a kid and now I can't remember for the life of me.
>>5768506
If they can figure out multiple uses for it to spread out the costs like they did with Groove/Afterburner and BlastOff/Strafe(and it wouldn't suprise me to see Nosecone/Drillhorn) then I could see them doing it but outside of doing Rescue Force which feels too obscure(and I know TT does some deep cuts at times) I can't think of any other use.
>>5768524
energon megatron
>>5768517
Wait, fuck it, I improved it a bit.
And just like that, I have two new favorite Decepticons. These guys make such a fun pair, I think it's because they aren't actually existing characters. I can just project whatever amusing henchmen archetypes onto them that I want. But I love the similarities in their molds. They both have wings/shoulder missiles/roof chests/hood shins, but in entirely different ways.
It's a shame Tracks was essentially the test run for this mold. Loud Pedal has none of the issues that my Tracks suffered from.
>>5768558
They look fun, but I can't see myself ever spending the $50-70 on MP "Who?"'s like that.
>>5768561
Fair enough. I felt like that at one point, but then I just caved and bought them and I don't regret a single penny. I originally had no interest in Exhaust, but loved Loud Pedal at first sight, so I ended up buying Exhaust just so he could have a friend. I haven't been touching Hasbro's retail releases over the past few years, so I felt the splurge was justified.
I did the same thing with Ultra Magnus, actually. I didn't care for him at first, but once Hot Rod got announced and I saw the promo pics and realized how great they looked together, I just threw my wallet at them. I'm a sucker for a good team-up.
Burger Freedumb day is coming up and Captain is putting out the call to all patriotic transformers. Who stands with him?
>>5768593
>crossover transformers are now too expensive for a rerelease
>>5768600
man most of the time crossover stuff sucks, but the marvel run had some decent ones, venom and hulk were boss
>>5768604
I'll always regret not picking up Ghost Rider when I had the chance.
>>5768610
hes not too crazy expensive on ebay, I mean hes not MSRP but still not bad
treat yo self anon
http://www.ebay.com/itm//201612985489
>>5768610
>dat gurren lagann tummy
>>5768604
Iron-spiderman 2-pack worth it?
>>5768624
imo nah, those two never seemed fun to me, but ive never owned them so maybe im totally wrong, find some reviews maybe
>>5768604
I've always been kinda surprised that Botcon never used the Hulk mold for anything but I guess Marvel's catchall means they own that design now.
>>5768627
>Hulk
That figure is amazing because it has a punching gimmick that works, and you don't find that often even in main line transformers
>>5768627
dude, slap a rhinox head on that mold with some more gold accents and I'd throw my wallet at them
... might buy that mold and a second gen rhinox and see if they fit...
>>5768217
>I don't tend to call figures by their unofficial names.
Considering its not an official kaon, it's official name is not kaon.
>>5768561
Try spending that money on some imagination. :^)
>>5768642
Hmmmmmm
>>5768659
Heh, I was just going to suggest this.
Wasn't that Hulk some kind of sci-fi tank or something?
>>5768655
Thats great, but if someone draws Bart Simpson, it's still Bart Simpson despite it not coming from Greoning's own hand.
>>5768659
Well shit, that could be a cool remold if Hasbro ever decides to do it.
>>5768642
>>5768659
A little retooling and a new head and I'd buy it.
>>5768642
Those sweet flip-out toes with toe-nail detail
>>5768506
Hot damn, that's a figure on his chest. You can tell by the slits on the joints in the middle.
>>5768667
But this toy is not officially kaon. The 3P gave the figure it's official name.
>>5768695
This banana is blue.
>>5768700
Think about what you said
>figures by their unofficial names
Kaon is NOT the official name for that figure. So yes. Calling it kaon is not calling that figure by its official name.
>>5768701
>Kaon
Yes. That is correct.
>>5768709
Thank you.
>>5768709
You can call it whatever you like. But saying it's official name is not official is pretty stupid.
If you refuse to call a third party toy by the name of the official character it represents, so you also call all official toys using trademark getarounds by their on-box name? Do feel you have to call it "Quickslinger", "Sargent Kup", etc?
Either way, if we all understand what's being said, let's just move on.
>>5768719
you're not wrong, but it also doesn't matter enough to argue about
>>5768725
Sergeant is a ranking in how it's used for Kup
>>5768725
Or all those characters Hasbro couldn't trademark the names of because their name is a common word, so they have to be called "Autobot _____" or "Decepticon _________".
>>5768380
"What do you mean I don't get a fucking body? I'm NIGHTBEAT, Simon Furman's second favorite!"
>>5768709
>alright children, lets stop shitting up the thread with semantics
You realize this is a Transformers thread? All we need is someone putting together a spreadsheet of minor packaging variants.
>>5768506
Seems pretty likely to me. They would've announced it by now if they weren't doing something major to the molds.
>>5768528
That's easy: Landcross. They'd just have to make alternate heads and remold the buggy into a speedboat. Dash can be a Dead End repaint, Tacker from Rook, Mach from Blast-Off, and Tackle from Offroad. They wouldn't have the old stacking gimmick, but that's not too big of a deal.
>>5768770
eh, unavoidable and constant doesn't mean acceptable
Fembot time!
>>5768791
>Stop being such a pedantic fuck!
>Pedantic
>adjective
>1.ostentatious in one's learning.
>2.overly concerned with minute details or formalisms, especially in teaching.
wut.
>>5768795
I'm not that fag you're arguing with, fag, just shut up and both of you will go away
Argh, hate the wait, waiting on a lot of things.
>>5768798
I know, right? Shit sucks.
>>5768806
>Choose gun as disguise
>Human picks you up
>Attempts to shoot another human
>Other human fucking explodes
>>5768812
>be megatron
>enemy picks you up
>makes you go into gun mode
What do?
>>5768396
This
>>5768838
I'd say 'huh' too if my gun went skraaak.
>>5768396
Now, now, let's take Jesus off the dashboard. Got a lot on his mind. What part of the fence gets painted first, for example.
>>5768787
>>5768858
That damn grin. Every time.
>>5768858
who tf dis nikka
>>5768858
I just brought one of those little guys today
Transforms horribly great face
>>5768843
So megatron is a suicide bomber now?
We'll put a stop to that
>>5768875
Fixit?

Titanic Returns Boat-mega Ship-preme
Got the UW Bruticus.
It is nice, but how do you get him into this? Last I check there is no place for the hand/feet piece to secure in place.
>>5768901
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHTKnYUF-M4
Its a bloated ass video but he shows how its done
>>5768901
>Got the UW Bruticus
Um.
>>5768907
Thank, that is simpler than I thought. I guess I won't be changing the cock piece.
>>5768909
And your problem is?
>>5768919
My tactical blunder, I presumed that pic was yours.
>>5768911
Fort max anon here who ended up returning his fort max in favor of the SDCC.
Still have your gen metroplexes?
Excuse the dust, I ended up digging him out of the mess pile he was in, pretty sad I was so willing to pay $98aud back in the day only to pay $220 for what is essentially the same thing.
If only there was a cheaper to get a matching fort max, and stupid me thought $168 from premium collectables was too much, how wrong I was.
Gotta say despite lack of paint apps compared to the takara and SDCC version of him gen metroplex is majestic in his own way, is it the size of the cost?
And yes I did delete the full pic so we can enjoy the dust better
>>5768307
someone needs to update this with computron
>>5768947
>>5768311
Arcee jelly.
>>5768317
My nigga.
>>5768561
Yeah. I bought most of the MPs, even Diaclone/RetroG1 stuff. But after buying RoadRage, I did not like the mold enough to go back for Tracks, let alone a surprise $90 black repaint.
>>5768658
Or spend it on characters he likes and not listen to those trying to make decisions for him.
>>5768558
>I can just project whatever amusing henchmen archytypes onto them
Agreed.
I like thinking they are the decpticon eqviualnt to:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sgvFpOCBek4
>got lucky and found one of each of the first wave of the TR line yesterday
>Got Skullcruncher and Hardhead
>Open up Skully
>his hip joints and swivels are loose
>I'm talkin' skeletons doing the riverdance loose
What was that floor polish everyone loves around here? Also pretty surprised that my town got these figures so early. I found them at the Knox TN West Town TRU, if anyone nearby thinks they might find more.
>>5768794
Mmm, I'd like to *SPLAM* in her face.
>>5768810
Didn't Walky chimp out hardcore over this?
who the heck told this gay clown calling himself starscream about my picture party?
I feel like g2 transformers, BUT not the following.
>original g2 toys
>combiners
>reveal the shield prime
>legion tank megatron
Are there any other homages to g2 other than what I've listed, I have/getting/dislike the ones mentioned, guess which is which
Excuse the image, only g2 thing I have
>>5769014
Future/pledge clear acrylic floor polish.
>>5769021
Other than convention exclusives there's the Deluxe Dreadwing, and there's a Voyager Laser Prime coming up soon
>>5769028
>deluxe dreadwing
Isn't he the blue jet from the same line as windblade?
I sadly have the megatron version (which is a homage to the machine wars toy that was canceled, if I got that right).
>Voyager Laser Prime
The prototype isn't selling it for me and I have a version of the reveal the shield optimus mold (well, legends scourge), hopefully the final result is good though.
What a shame otherwise for the convention exclusives, only one from memory I know was g2 ramjet and that's too much to pay for that
>>5769021
DotM Deluxe Space Case
>>5769032
Makes me curious, what is his alt mode like, and is he as spindly as he seems?
>>5769021
How about MP G2 Sideswipe, if you're into MPs? He's the only MP I have but he's pretty damn awesome.
>>5769035
His altmode is cool. Forward sweeping wings and stuff.
>>5769035
Answer 1. Google
Answer 2. Probably depends on the QC of thE particular figure you get. otherwise not really.
>>5768951
Why is Metroplex so much better than Fort Max?
>>5769043
All these questions your asking are easy to find out without waiting for an answer here.
>>5769032
we really need new Generation updates of the cyberjets.
>>5769045
Simple really, metroplex was designed to be metroplex.
Say what you will about his transformation but apart from the hands being exposed (which do fold in to minimize them) he does a pretty damn good update on metroplex with full articulation on top of being fucking big as well as minimal gaps (least in exposed, legs are hollow but solid).
Fort max, while an extensive retool is just a backwards metroplex that relies on a fan mode to complete him, plus the fat head doesn't help.
Therefore retooling one big guy into another guy who's supposed to be bigger doesn't work, I only hope the next 2 (tripticon and scorponok) are at least a mold that can handle both (we know they'll be retooled into each other)
Hey, /tfg/ anyone know who the Decepticon on the right is? The other four are super obvious, but I'm stumped on the last one.
>>5769051
Enemy.
>>5769051
I ain't falling for that one
Jesus christ, all they had to do was make the croc legs fold into the back of the robot legs and this guy would look great. But no, they can't even manage that, and as such his legs look like hollow pieces of shit.
Hopefully Perfect Effect or somebody releases an upgrade for him- the croc legs are just on screws so it should be easy.
>>5769031
Yeah. Dreadwing has G2 symbols. I prefer him to Megs.
And Megatron was based on a body he had in IDW for a while.
>>5769058
All good, I mean shit ever since that info drop about frenzy/rumble came people loved to argue.
Sorry for my assumption as well, here, have some "thing" I found
>>5769056
To be fair his original toy had the croc legs on the sides. Also, you're bitching about hollow calves on a deluxe after a shitton of molds from CW also suffered from hollow legs. I don't enjoy it either but you get deeper knee bend because of it and you're not going to be posing him facing the wall, are you? It's not a deal breaker imo.
>>5769051
Rumble. If there's one thing Takara has taught me its that cartoon colors are always right.
>>5769059
>Dreadwing has G2 symbols
Fuck it if I can be a seeker whore I can double dip on him.
Yeah that was what got me to buy him (his idw body) though looking into it there was a homage to machine wars as well...though it was cancelled.
He had a partner, forgot his name, any figures that allowed them to link up?
>>5769056
Aren't you supposed to stick the Titanmasters in all the hollow bits?
>>5769064
Smokescreen, and nah.
>>5769056
We already explained this too you.
>>5769056
That's like saying you could have Grimlock's dino torso wrap around him or something.
That's what Skullcruncher's legs are supposed to look like.
>>5769066
Bah, oh well, still a good dread wing
>>5769060
Yeah, I know better than to get involved in the whole FIRRIB stuff. When I saw the bait pic I was like "Oh crud, I've done it now." Thanks for understanding, man. Nice pic, by the way.
>>5769065
I thought that was only for the hollow bit on the gun. Because it can be combined with base modes for weapon emplacements.
>>5769073
How often are you going to display only his backside?
>>5769073
You're entitled to your opinion mane. I don't mind it so much tho.
>>5769070
Thought I'd show some sign of peace, we had enough shit earlier in the thread.
Cheers, watching all those weird chink sites provides...interesting pictures
As for the titan master thing only if there are connector ports for their heads or feet, there are none in the hollows of the legs, hollow by design of transformation sadly.
Think his comment was meant to be a joke when you consider>>5768858
>>5769076
>Hurr, you'll only ever see it from the front, durr!
A toy should look good from all angles, not just the front.
>>5769073
If Hasbro had made the legs fold in you'd be whining about how
>FUCKING HASBLOW AND THEIR REEDUN SHIT! THATS NOT WHAT HES SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE!
>SAVE US BASED NIPS REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Just kill yourself.
>>5769056
Where do Titan Masters ride Skullcruncher? Is there a seat in his mouth?
>>5769082
No, no I wouldn't. I don't want GEEWUN accuracy if it means the toy looks like shit.
>>5769080
No seriously. Please tell me when you will actually show the figure on display from behind.
>>5769084
So I take it you passed on UW Bruticus?
>>5768362
I'm more annoyed that it's confirmed you can't use the train tips as the feet, you can only use the shuttle bits. I thought the train feet looked better.
>>5769088
They've shown them switched around though.
>>5769085
There's a difference between screw holes and vast gaping voids in the back of the legs.
>>5769086
Plenty of times. I don't keep my Transformers permanently displayed- I often take them off the shelves and have them set up on top of the bookcase in my room, on my coffee table and likewise, in which case you'll definitely be able to see the back, or indeed any angle other than straight on.
>>5769087
Yeah, in fact I'm not buying official combiners anymore at all after what happened to my UW Defensor, though that had more to do with plastic quality than aesthetics.
>>5769056
Don't worry 3P has got you covered.
>>5769086
I like displaying Devastator backwards to show off his assless chaps.
The sad thing is I actually like the look of HasTak Skullcruncher aside from those hollow as fuck legs, and if someone made an upgrade that filled them in/covered up the voids (without partsforming) I'd buy it.
>>5769089
Yeah they have, but the truth is it doesn't work. The panels have to be extended a bit out, and he doesn't stand quite right. Peaugh shows it off in his review.
>>5769095
Yeah, I have considered him. The colours are a bit off but he looks pretty solid.
>>5769078
Welp. Serves me right for not scrolling up. Pretty funny in that case.
>>5769056
That is one hollow piece of shit right there.
>>5769097
Why is it sad? The TR Headmaster deluxes all look like solid figures.
>>5768642
Retool into Tarn when?
>>5769107
Most of them look OK, I guess, but Skullcruncher has those horrible, horrible hollow legs and Mindwipe looks goddamn awful, especially in bat mode. And even the good looking ones are still worryingly hollow, just not to the same degree as Skullcruncher.
>>5769113
They're little blindboxed figures where the big head opens up. You fold up the robot body and fold down the vehicle, and vice versa.
Either way you get a huge head with a tiny mode underneath. Whether it's cute or not is up to your taste I guess.
>>5769091
>my coffee table and likewise
Then that means you never have guests anyways so what's the big deal?
>>5769107
I hope that Hardhead and Mindwipe get redecos
They look okay, but I'm not sold on the colors.
I think this is the best that head has looked so far.
>>5769120
Because it looks ugly as sin and I don't want ugly things in my house?
Also, nice projection.
>>5769110
Sunbow Rumble was blue.
Sunbow Rumble was cool.
Ergo Blue = Rumble and Red = loser no one cares about.
>>5769021
>not wanting G2 originals
Why? G2 Dreadwing is better than T30 by miles, the Cyberjets are still probably the best Basics ever made, and Laser Prime is a miracle of the universe.
I mean, I could see getting TFCC Ramjet or Screamer but in most cases the G2 Version is just plain better.
>>5769125
Heh, looks like you guessed right on the g2 originals clause.
Cost mostly, I'd imagine they'd be looked after and worth a bit, though a friend was telling me about 2 jet transformers that connected to each other...
Maybe I can ask to have a look at his one, it just needs to be dug out of a spider infested shed
>>5769124
>nice projection
It's okay to have issues over nothing I guess, but I'm sorry you're coffee table is used for toys and not actual visitors. You exposed yourself on that so trying to turn it around is pretty sad.
>>5769045
He is not. Those giant ass transformers are stupid.
>>5769130
So you like Fort Max more?
>>5769128
>Exposed myself
Kek, whatever you say. You're the one who feels the need to be salty over other people not liking the same things as you.
>>5769118
The turd Mindwipe's batmode looks just as bad.
Mindwipe has never and will never have a good altmode.
>>5769082
I would've actually BOUGHT Skullcruncher if that was the case.
Get fucked, autist.
>>5769118
Not OP, but as long as they don't mess up Chromedome/Brainstorm/Highbrow/Nautica, I'll be happy. The Beast Decepticon Headmasters are probably the only instance where you are probably better off getting the FP ones.
>>5769121
But that's what Hardhead's colors are
>>5769136
Eh, it's not great but it's better than the fat stumpy block that the official one turns into.
Though in any case I'm pretty sure ROTF Mindwipe is best Mindwipe.
>>5769145
He looks more like what I'd imagine a toy of Bayverse Flatline would look like rather than Mindwipe.
>>5769145
>tfw no ROTF Skullcruncher or ROTF Weirdwolf
What altmodes would they have anyways?
>>5769135
...but you bitch that others like the figure.
Make sense.
>>5769140
That doesn't mean I like what Hardhead's colors are. Like how the Skywarp of a given Starscream usually looks cooler.
>>5769145
It literally is not any better.
Fuck off back to the cuck thread, turdshitter
>>5769160
Hahahahahahahaha what the fuck.
But I do like the wings.
>>5769152
No. I said "I don't like how this looks" and you attacked me for it. I never attacked other people liking the figure (heck, I like the figure aside from the hollow as fuck legs) but...
...Wait a minute. I'm arguing with Subjectanon again aren't I.
Never mind, excuse me whilst I disregard everything you say.
>>5769151
Man, the blue on UW Onslaught is so good that any form of the Hasbro one looks like shit to me.
Just learn to disassemble your transformers and give UW Bruticus a grey fucking plastic chest.
>>5769151
You know, I think I prefer the black head on a Bruticus with the silver torso armor. The contrast it gives is necessary, in my opinion.
>>5769165
>you attacked me for it.
>attackrf
>>5769101
except for the fact that he doesnt even look like an alligator, he seems alright
>>5769137
Oh wow, watch out everyone, we got a badass who is saying he's not going to buy Skullcruncher here.
Fight the power, man.
>>5769160
HAHAHA his head looks like
>>5769165
>I'm going to pretend you're someone else because I can't make any valid points and I'm scared now
The fold in legs would've caused issues. We told you this last time.
>>5769170
Well Skullcruncher is a crocodile. :^)
(All trolling aside, I do agree he looks a bit weird, but I kinda like him. Skullcruncher always looked oddly cute...)

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Also, what last time? Are you mistaking me for someone else?
>>5769160
Yeah it does look wonky but c'mon man. It looks better than...this.
>>5769171
>getting a 2016 figure designed to be gimped because it needs to resemble a shitty 70s figure is a good use of money
>>5769175
OH SHIT, CURRY??
>>5769184
Not by much.
>>5769182
>keeping this up
It's cute.
>>5769186
not the guy you're replying to. But he didn't at all imply what you said.
I think this is called a straw man argument?
>>5769190
>Condescension
>Denying that he is Subjectanon
Yep, this is Subjectanon alright.
Go back to chopping your dick off.
>>5769191
Well, yeah.
You thought I was going for an argument when the post I was replying to was a full on strawman?
Skullcruncher still looks like shit in robot mode, though.
>>5769192
Nah. Subjectanon makes much larger posts with images. Quit trying to strawman
>>5769184
At least that somewhat resembles a robot bat instead of a fat block with bat wings.
>>5769085
Oddly enough, I can't think of a single '07, ROTF, or HFTD figure that looks bad from the rear. And even DOTM only has just a couple of shitters, not the entire line.
It must be a G1 thing.
>>5769199
This is a shitpost, right?
>>5769194
Skullcruncher's alriight, man. Are you gonna let that leg problem deny you a potentially cool toy?
i mean no malice by saying this, but I feel that we nitpick these things cause we don't have them in-hand.
I dont like that the CW Deadend mold has no feet, but when I got it in hand I really liked it, so i live with it
I guess what im sayin is, we can stand to be more tolerable, cause it's just toys?
>>5769184
Weird how Hasbro didn't go for g1 toy colors.
>>5769208
woah that looks way better.
Maybe the takara one looks like that
>>5769208
Cause it's bland.
>>5769209
>Takara
>Going for toy-accuracy
>>5769207
It's not just the legs.
The arms have that horrible feet kibble, head is hideous, the gun looks like a stray bionicle piece, the hollow legs. I can't stand how bad it looks, even if it proved to pose just fine with all that shit being in the middle of its limbs.
>>5769214
Ahem.
Also legends ultra magnus has red thighs.
>>5769214
>>5769223
And before you get any smart ideas about the fact he's a combiner, here
>>5769216
Well that's ok, you have greencrocprime and lolthatsnotacroc to choose from.
>>5768960
I'm actually surprised Arcee is so expressive in terms of articulation and such. She's just so well done, especially for her first ever official figure.
Easily one of my favorites, despite all of the dumb shit I make the toy do.
>>5769226
She's got good lewd-posing potential.
>>5769214
eh, mindwipe in the headmasters anime still looks the same as the toy, no? barring his head
>>5769230
Indeed she does.
>>5769225
That's actually pretty cute. If they released another one that color-matched Skullsmasher, it could be a neat duo.
>>5769175
what toy is that?
>>5769231
Yes, he has the same deco.
>>5769206
You're a shitpost.
>>5769207
Transformersfags are among the most nitpicky people on the planet, I think it's because we're so spoiled compared to other lines.
>>5769232
Ahh, Orbitals Frames and their literal "cockpits", endless joy. lol
>>5769232
Doesn't that Orbital Frame transform into a thing as well? With a few replacement parts/customizing that could make a great Cybertronian Futa Thundrblast.
Peugh on youtube annoys me.
He keeps putting the titan master heads onto their bodies incorrectly, the titan master face in head mode needs to be looking in the same direction as the robot face, as pictured.
Chosen prime who sent him the figures gets it right, Peugh gets it wrong, someone is shaking their head at this.
>why care about people breaking their toys
Because I'm a nice faggot, yes it was brought up last thread, but it bugs me a bigger youtuber does it, and I thought the hotspot video annoyed me, I just dread what optibotimus does
>>5769056
also, he can barely stand without holding his weapons because theres no heel.
>>5769252
Sort of. She has a "Coffin Mode" which she used in her first fight, but it's literally just folding her back "cape" over her front and attaching two seperate pieces.
The Vic Viper transforms a bit more, into a...Vic Viper. But even most shellformers are more complex than the VV's transformation.
>>5769270
I have Anubis and Jehuty, is Vic Viper good?
>>5769249
Weird part is those robot designs were sitting around for a long time, since the artist was in highschool IIRC. He showed'em to Kojima and he loved them.
The Jehuty revoltech actually has a hinged cockpit, which makes it double hilarious to me.
>>5769260
Doesn't he have a reputation for being pretty ham handed with stuff anyway?
>>5769273
I like him a lot. He's actually got a similar shoulder joint to the revo Raiden/Venom Snake/upcoming Deadpool.
Vic and the Ardjet are also usually pretty damn cheap. Got both of'em for around $50-60.
>>5769278
Well I didn't know this as a recent sub until I saw him trying to one hand the heads and watching them collapse under the force.
I'm glad I have ad block
>>5769249
*Orbital
Shit.
>>5769281
I love that Vic Viper is just the ship from Gradius with a mech mode.
>>5769283
I always liked that game as a kid, so playing ZOE2 and SUDDENLY GRADIUS SHIT OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE and the VV complete with the lil' weapon pods and shit was amazing.
Too bad the revo didn't come with some of the ship energy effects or anything.
>>5769260
If I remember correctly, he responded to this complaint in a video recently. He said it didn't work when he did that.
>>5769289
in his Scourge video. When he flipped the head around, it couldn't be attached at all.
>>5768528
>Rescue Force which feels too obscure
That's a shame. I'd like to see that.
>>5768772
>Landcross
That'd be kind of a strange fit.
>They'd just have to make alternate heads and remold the buggy into a speedboat.
....I dunno.
but along those lines: SixWing. I'd love to see that. Except like your idea, they would have to further remold Jaguar into a helicopter which is a tall order. maybe the missile pods on the baja buggy could be missile pods on the helicopter.
I was trying to come up with clever ways to make the gestalt legs bulky and long compared to the smaller robot legs, but I think it would be much easier to lock the legs and split the torso and use alt mode back kibble for the groin plate.
If Takara doesn't do this, I hope a 3rd party does.
Then reuse SixWing as a G1 seeker set, and a Euro Predator set. ... no, Takara wouldn't do a Euro Predator set. :( even though they did that crazy Galvatron set. Also a G1 seeker set would require remolding Jaguar into a seeker, or turning a seeker into a helicopter. :P Back when I was making a SixWing repaint into it, it was fine, but this would feel like it fell short.
>>5769051
is this a shirt? where can i get it?
>>5769295
>>5769295
Strange, my figures worked better and chosen prime's were much the same.
QC issue maybe?
>>5768380
Oh goddamnit, that looks way better than our one, quit being such penny pinching jews, Hasbro.
>>5768416
the heads got swapped, but not the colors.
the hasbro nightbeat head is based on the original toy, but painted differently than any of them. Takara nightbeat painted it to be more like the original (which had a limited japanese release) toy.
since Nightbeat and Siren were replaced with Minerva and goshooter in japan, and they weren't in the american animated show, we hav no idea what animated Nightbeat looks like.
>>5768352
Use chromedome. His high shoulders are perfect for nightbeat, and he has a chest plate.
>>5769289
I just saw that scourge video.
Its working as intended when he put it in, its as I suspected, its a qc issue, its simply not being snug and ends up looser than an ass fuck party.
I suppose in that case you have no choice but to put it in backwards, serves him right for taking in shit scourge rather than wait for the takara release
>>5769303
5 colors on the head alone?
That's a lot, you can't blame them.
They could have swung for a blue, yellow, orange combo, but expecting 5 colors is a bit much.
>>5769312
Fuck off apologist, you're the reason they get away with that shit.
So we call sentinal prime a pre-tool of astrotrain.
But the only difference is paint apps and a head, detachable head, does this mean astrotrain is actually a repaint with a new accessory or does it count as a retool?
As there is nothing to seperate the 2 otherwise, I wanted sentinal, but standing them together side by side isn't the same feeling as seekers
>>5768810
What is this from?
>>5769320
Botcon Pirates vs Knights comic.
>>5769315
Listen, it's simple
doubling the amount of paints used means an increase in the cost.
That would put it *exclusively* into the collector market instead of having a nice overlap with the kid market.
That means fewer sales which translates into an increase in costs.
So yes, it'd look nicer, but that means you're basically paying 20+ dollars for a deluxe (or in this case, 15+ for nightbeat's set) and that's BEFORE ToysRUs jacks up the price.
From a collector point of view, doesn't it make more sense to just pay that amount to get the import from Takara, and allow Hasbro to keep making the money they need to keep bringing us the toys in the first place?
I mean, the fewer kids buy the toys, the fewer toys they'll make.
>>5769319
I feel the mold was intended for Astrotrain (despite looking nothing like him), besides, Sentinel was never a train, a spaceship, or a triple changer (he was also never a headmaster, but that's a different issue) so to me he seems to have been thought of first and a sentinel pretool was made to sell of him before hand.
>>5769319
outside of headmasters, any time you get a completely new head it's a (p)retool.
Just because the head is detachable, it doesn't make it any different. The heads are just as swappable in the factory regardless of gimmick.
>>5769324
Nice shockwave impression, but you know jack shit.
>>5769260
>He keeps putting the titan master heads onto their bodies incorrectly, the titan master face in head mode needs to be looking in the same direction as the robot face, as pictured.
This meme needs to die, it's already been confirmed several times that this is wrong. The correct way to put it in is the head facing the other way, that's why there are 2 notches in the side of the head. If both heads face the same way, you risk damaging it.
>>5769326
while I agree the alt modes don't look like astrotrain, the robot mode mold is extremely astro-train centric. Especially the wings (because it's a space shuttle, not a space cruiser) the raised bar up the middle of the torso, and the panels on the sides of the legs.
>>5769312
This, it's insane to expect these to be painted god-tier. Not to mention how small the head is, it's too much for something so tiny. It can get maybe 3 colors at best.
>>5769326
Pretty much
Much like Optimus with Motomaster or Cyclonus and poor Betatron they are just filler to increase sales and lengthen the shelf space in stores
>>5769328
you wanna actually argue with it, or just plug your ears with your fingers?
>>5769326
Honestly I like the look of TR Astrotrain, but then Astrotrain was never my favourite triple changer so eh.
>>5769334
Not sure why, but it's saying the file doesn't exist.
And it's definitely fair to say that some areas will be cheaper to get from japan, but that's because of the strength of their currency vs the local currency.
Hasbro is american based, takara is japanese based, so comparing those two countries are more valid, since they're all locally produced.
But I dunno, does hasbro manufacture stuff in australia? If not, then the cost for them to ship may be higher than Japan, since Japan is (relatively) close to Australia.
I'm assuming you're including shipping costs
>>5769341
I feel the same way.
This is probably the coolest looking astrotrain toy hasbro's made
But Astrotrain is only my 3rd favorite original triple changers (Springer, then Blitzwing, galvatron doesn't count)
What would make a good Classics Ironhide? Stand alone or base for a custom?
>>5769331
>This meme needs to die, it's already been confirmed several times that this is wrong
Anon from last thread pointed out the heads are packed into the packaging the way you're describing as wrong.
In peugh's video when he was talking about his scourge yeah, it works better facing the other way, that's because his has an obvious qc issue as its loose as fuck facing the way you THINK is correct, as a result he had to have it in backwards to have any sort of connection.
By putting it as that thumbnail I posted describes it leaves it secure yet loose, doing it the other way increases the tightness, too tight, which can cause damage depending on the socket's connection.
Look here at my cerebros, with the titan master's face facing towards the chest/same way as the robot head, it means the back of the head which is a flat tab, slides behid the teeth, and gives clearance for the head.
The other way is essentially forcing the head between the teeth by force, and those teeth aren't spring loaded, if they are they're tight as fuck, couldn't pry them apart with my fingers
>>5769326
Honestly, I feel like the mold actually works better for Sentinel. It just looks so boring on Astrotrain. I think it must be the colors, but I just feel the body looks much better as an evil Autobot, as opposed to a somewhat random Decepticon who really doesn't do much. Especially the collar, it looks much better on Sentinel. Makes him look commanding.
>>5769356
>Making a new thread when the current one, while at bump limit, is still on page 1
>>5769366
You are correct however you then have anons that argues a new thread shouldn't be made till the old one 404s and we had a spell where anons were deleting the old threads just to dodge your complaint
It's a lose/lose
Just accept the stupid at worse what? There is 3+ threads crawling to deletion?
>>5769225
I wasn't complaining so much about not having a Skullcruncher I liked than about not having a Skullcruncher with a robot mode worthy of its amazing altmode.
That does have a better robot mode but the crocodile mode is not as good looking as the official one.
>>5769278
You mean like 99% of all Transformers reviewers/fans?
>>5769338
What you say to a degree would potentially happen, but unless you work for hasbro, you're just guessing.
>>5769278
Peugh is the worst. I remember one of the only videos of his I ever saw had him talking about how his favorite song was on the radio so he wasn't going to turn it off just to record a video. He doesn't even edit his shit.
Baltmatrix is bad about that too but at least he actually puts in effort.
>>5769296
Isn't sixwing the one that has the fem combiner design?
>>5769184
I somehow feel that Mindwipe's bat mode might have been made with a Fangry retool in mind.
Takara repaint/remold of Scourge to make him a giant Starscream, with smaller seeker limbs using that ghost starscream mold when
>>5768271
>It's black/purple, though.
ALL THE MORE REASON. Get it and take pics you dirty tease.
>>5768508
>they're doing a decepticon victorion
Wait what?
>>5771172
The comic with the last combiner released teased the Victorion molds as Decepticons. They were in shadow, so we don't really know who they will be. However, the two or three lines the Pyra Magna counterpart had make it seem like she might be Esmeral, Deathsaurus' wife from the Victory Manga.
>>5771183
Either that, or Grand Galvatron has a harem that combine into one giant waifu.
