This isn't exactly true. Charizard got to a period where he was sold out everywhere pretty fast. I know because I looked all over for a site that still had him, discovered Nippon Yasan, and paid more to get it through them. They screwed around shipping my order (then lost it, but that's another story) and in the meantime Amiami and maybe HLJ got it in again and sold out before my order ever showed up.

Nobody knows what they might do in the future, so if you really want a DK for your Smash display or whatever, I'd pick up the Jakks one while it's still only $15. He did, (I showed him a picture on my phone once it loaded), found out they had only TWO coming in the next day, but he'd be glad to hold one for me.
And he did. And I picked it up today, the other figure was coming off the bubble from damage/the heat, so that sucks. Good experience all around, even if the figure is overpriced at $20. Still, pretty cool variant.
