I had this one really awesome big mutated praying mantis monster toy. It was plastic, but had a rubber abdomen you could squeeze and a big ball of goo would balloon out.
The legs couldn't move, but you could break apart the segments and they were attached by a elastic string
There was even a big spike on the back you could pull like a lever to make his arms do an attacking motion. And he also had batteries and an on off switch to make sounds and have his eyes glow when you pulled the spike.

A full sealed set is only like 50-100 bucks atm. one damaged card isn't that big of a loss
I got these when I was 8 and they were a big deal to me because pretty much the rest of my toys were beanie babies and stuffed animals. The gimmick blew my goddamn mind as a kid.
I actually found some on eBay the other day and won that lot so I'm excited to have some of these again.
