Hey guys! I was thinking about picking up the Black Series TIE Fighter while it's still on sale, how is it?
I noticed that it only includes one pilot which is super lame since you can't buy a single-packed normal one.
I got this bright idea though to rectify this situation! I could buy the Finn (FN-2187) and the Target TR-8R vs. Poe 2-pack and use them to recreate their escape to Jakku!
Then I rewatched that scene and noticed that Poe takes off his jacket, which is how Finn recovers it in the wreckage later, so they wouldn't be 100% screen accurate.
Then I thought about getting the regular Finn to get his ass beat by TR-8R, but then I remembered that shelf warmer Finn doesn't have Luke's lightsaber! In fact Rey doesn't either!
So what am I supposed to do? Buy an extra Luke to cannibalize his lightsaber? Why doesn't Kylo Ren have an alternate unmasked head?
The Black Series is shit, but it's probably just because they don't get all the up to date info from Disney. Keep in mind they had to be planning these long before the movies release. Well, I might still buy the TIE Fighter depending on how good it is.

The First Order has two models of TIE fighter.
There's the TIE/fo Superiority and the TIE/fo Space Superiority. The former is nearly identical to old Imperial TIE/LNs where as the Space variant has a larger cockpit, allowing for internal light support, a rear gunner position, and an onboard hyperdrive allowing for long range operations. This model was reserved for elite First Order pilots.

In fact, only a few figures have been repacked and we all know it's a marketing technique to create artificial scarcity, catering to the scalpers at first and eventually meeting demand to cater to average joes. But it only works with very popular characters and army builders, and like it or not Revan is no where near Fett or Phasma level of mainstream popularity.

But one of the staples of star wars toys is that it's never been a line of just top tier characters. It's 75% filler and background dudes to help people create fun scenes from the movies.
Unfortunately all figures require minimum production runs to meet the profit margins and that number sometimes exceeds demand, or falls short. For every guy that's begging for Revan, there's another guy asking for fat titty lady.

I have a Rey and BB8 black series figure I found months ago which I hate still in the box. I haven't seen them in stores since I got it.
I was thinking of returning her and getting the diecast Disney store version which to me looks way better , comes with more stuff , BB8 is bigger and would make me way happier. I know the paint chips off and all of the other negative stuff related to the Disney store version but I don't plan on talking it out of the box ever.
I don't have enough money to keep both. Right now the Disney Store diecast version sells for way more on Amazon than the black series version but that could change over time I guess.
My question is would it be way to big of a mistake down the line to return my Black series Rey. Will it be worth more as a collectible in the future ?

I bought Ahsoka because she's my favorite character (I know, I'm a huge faggot) and man, she kind of sucks. Wobbly knees, dodgy paint, cheap feeling lightsabers. Well, he just came in and he's pretty solid. My main takeaways are that he's really tall, they made a good transition between artistic styles, and I really wish they'd give the proper wrist hinge to people who use swords.
Also, I knew to expect a lightsaber made of rubber, but this is next level. I feel reluctant to leave him holding it overnight because his hands are so hard they're warping the saber even just onehanding it. Same with the blaster, which actually looks really nice btw.
