Anyone else know this wonderful feeling? Share grails, stories of success and pictures. And for Anons still on the hunt, good luck and never give up!

I thought the comic Hellboy and nazi Kroenen were the only guys worth over $100?
>>
>>5621083
They are. The Abe is a $65-80 figure sealed, tops. Maybe OP is canadian or british or something, where it's harder to get it.
>>
Not op but I'm not sure when the last time you guys checked prices was, ALL the comic figures have shot up in price, especially sealed. Even liz and Johann are $100+ nowadays
>>
>>5621117
Roger was still like $40-50 when I checked a few weeks ago.
>>
>>5621088
Where, all the recent sales on ebay have been around $120

How about failures? I was checking ebay daily for an art figures Dredd at a decent price for 2 weeks when I lost my internet for a few days last week. I check back the next day and I noticed 2 sold listings for fucking $150 shipped.
>>
>>5621133
Fuck, I go through this constantly but with RD Eva unit 00, every time I have the money and will to buy him he's sold out on manda

Been wanting pic related since they came out. I scored them off a fellow toy soldier on the b/s/t and they're even better than I imagined

Man revoltech style works so well for the Nick turtles, do they have eyes or not?

My grail was the Sentinel Black Getter.

I got Getter-1 when it was released, and by the time I came to the realization the I needed Black Getter more than life itself, it was already skyrocketing. And of course back then I was still a orange belt collector, not a brown belt like today, so the thought of getting a figure at such an inflated mark up was beyond reasoning.

Then the escalation of this hobby took its natural course, and eventually I was ready to put up 13-15k yen on mandarake because a 15k purchase wasn't too absurd. I actually almost pulled the trigger 3 weeks ago on that, but then this week I saw Black Getter listed for re-release and basically leapt up off my chair with joy.

finally found the elusive taktom lugnut for 55 bucks in a fleamarket last year after years of hunting
>>

I feel you on that, I canceled my Getter 1 order back in the day because RAH Link got delayed to the same month and I couldn't afford both, Link turned out to be shit and canceling getter was my greatest /toy/ related regret. I have both colors pre ordered now.

Been trying to get the old Final Fantasy 8 GF figures at a decent price off and on for years. I have a couple, but I've always want the Gilgamesh because I like his design and I like toys that come with weapons. NIB usually go for $150 or more, and used (missing pieces) usually go for around 30 or 40.
I just scored a complete figure for $18. Now if I could just get lucky on the few I have left to get.
>>
>>5621142
they do, they're connected to the bandanna knot on the back of their head so you can shift them left and right

>tfw skipped 7 of those lugnuts being sold for 1000 yen each at a Yamada Denki

I picked this guy up last month in a used lot with two movie Hellboy figures for £66.
I sold the two Hellboys separately for a combined total of £49.
So I essentially got Kroenen for £16.

Feels good, especially seeing the prices he usually goes for.

I'm finally down to just needing rocket pack hellboy, kriegaffe, and officer kroenen. I mean, I could just shell out a hundred+ each right now, but ehhh...
>>
I just got this beauty earlier this week after searching for the past 10 years. And I only paid $25 (before shipping) when it typically goes for over $100

Gave up on finding any kind of models of the ships in Blue Submarine no 6 years ago. Visited family 100 miles away last week and found this sitting at the comic shop for nine dollars. Life is funny.

Why do you think a guy getting doxxed as we speak would be posting here?
>>
>>5622230
Just wondering. It would seem to be in line with his previous stupidity though.
>>
>>5622228
I don't know what that is, but I'm happy for you. :)
>>
>>5622228
Is the anime any good? It's based on some book from the 60s right?
>>
>>5622242
Yeah, I mean I love it. Think Waterworld prequel with more mutants and organic ships.
>>5622234
Thank you!
>>
>>5621950
bro, i hope you don't plan on opening those anytime soon
cause them toys are gonna break after so being so long in them packages
especially the leather on hellboy's jacket
>>
>>5621157
I have that guy on my watchlist on eBay but I can never bring myself to pull the trigger. Someday.
>>
>>5622204
what the fuck am I looking at here?
>>

Its a Sota Nightmares of HP Lovecraft Cthulhu
>>
Wow. Somehow I got him on sale for twenty bucks plus shipping back in 2009.

Sadly, I never got the comic version Hellboy that scale. I think I got everyone else except the ape. Saw him once at Suncoast. Went back when I had more money and it was gone. Same with Zinco rocket pack Hellboy.

Looks like a big chunk of plastic.
Any articulation? Where is this from? I want to know if there are more Mythos like this.

SOTA's Nightmares of Lovecraft line got 3 releases:
Cthulhu (The Call of Cthulhu) - this guy had multiple colors >>5622204 I think was a limited variant
Dagon (The Shadow Over Innsmouth)
The Ghoul (Pickman's Model)

Might have been more in the Nightmares line, but not sure, also as I remember those have even less articulation, but I might be talking shit.

Got a hot toys avengers Loki for $250 CIB a year or 2 ago off some bro on sideshow freaks when it was going for anywhere between like 4-600 on eBay. He wanted 350 and I just messaged him and asked if he would take 250 cause that's what I had left from my tax return after paying bills and he said yes. I still can't believe it sometimes. It arrived like 2 weeks after I paid him so I thought he might have ripped me off at first.

The articulation is pretty limited unfortunately. Just the shoulders (swivel hinges), wrists and wings (swivel), the head (ball), and the tentacles which are bendy. I really wish the hips had something so that i could get it out of that terrible hunched over pose. But the design and sculpt are fucking fantastic, so I'm not complaining too much. Its still the best Cthulhu figure Ive ever seen.

And the line also had a couple super sized figures. One was just an up-scaled Dagon, but they did a whole new design for the Cthulhu.

Dagon Is definitely the next on my list to get, but I can pass on all the others

GI Joe zombies. Probably one of the most expensive retail release Joes out there.

I once bought a set of used Sammael, Kroenen (modern ninja version) and Rasputin with baby Hellboy for $80. Thing is, they were all in great condition (feels almost fresh out of the package) and came with all their accessories.
