>Build a big, beautiful wall
>LET'S GATTAI!! Create three or more small vehicles that combine to form a robot or a larger vehicle
>Burn some rubber! Build your Sig Fig's dream car, and tune it for your ideal track!
>Build a moc that integrates a brick separator. Bonus points if it's part of an action feature.
>Create a scene with two self-made factions fighting each other! Bonus points for NO Spacemen or Zombies!
do we have any clue when spidey bridge will be coming out? i guess it'll be after the civil war sets. hopefully dont have to wait too long
>>5569200
What's with that wall challenge?
It showed up out of nowhere like 3 threads ago.
>>5569212
i wonder how expensive it will be...

Every time I look at this set I see something new that makes me fall for it more and more. This time its Kraven's awesome fur collar.
>>5569222
Somebody posted it as a joke and later OPs just blindly copypasted it.
>>5569212
Still disappointed this doesn't have a Gwen Stacey minfigure.
>>5569231
That will be coming in a clock tower set next year with neck snapping action!
>>5569212
A $100 for a broken bridge! Would anyone be interested in this set if it didn't have the figures?
Seems that Lego can get away with selling a pile of shit as long as they include some desired figures with it.
>>5569246

I'd buy it.

Did some more experimenting with my Intercept Orbit carrier build, including a couple iterations of the primary joint. Happy with it now. It's extremely pose-able - nose and tail have a wide range of motion. The chassis & secondary wings rotate freely around the inner bay. The bay itself has enough room to physically enclose a couple of micro-scale mechs or starfighters. Parts could be more matching, I suppose.
Criticism welcome.

It's just a gigantic cocktease.
>>5569606
I'm more upset that I have to wait two fucking months to buy something they already have in their possession.
>>5569606
In cases like this, the machine literally won't ring it out because of street dates. The machines are set up this way because they know some minimum wage employee who doesn't care about street dates will mess up.
>>5569616
If they cared so much about street date maybe they shouldn't ship these things out two months in advance.
>>5569601
Older series or IBO? Reminds me of that newfangled Graze. I'm more fond of UC suits.
Neat job, anyways. Gray doesn't do it many favors though.
>>5569603
I went to TRU back when the Jurassic World line was new and the polybag had just come out. They had it on the shelves and wouldn't let me buy it a day early...
>>5569603
>>5569606
TRU team member here, managers can override the street date, Which should have been done. Yes that was the stores fault the product was put out early, but we'd just let you buy it, collect the ones that are still out and put them in a street date bay in the back.
>>5569609
>>5569617
There are more than just lego that are marked as street dated, happens with movies, music, video games, and a few other toys as well.
I'm also thinking that those boxes weren't clearly marked, this happens a lot. It's supposed to have a big sticker with the date on there, but sometimes promo items and shippable inners are not marked this way.
I made a big mistake of putting Mega Yarn Yoshi restocks out even though they weren't marked.
I'm sorry that happened to you anon, that's bad customer service.

Stopped. I already wanted to stop when he was making those rap-sounds at the and but decided to stop cringing and continue but then.
It was like...
Why USA suddenly went so nigger? I understand that gangstas are badass but WHY you think Batman would ever have that retarded music as his theme?
I guess its because im from europe and i never seen gangstars/rap music being popular here. But this is like the lowest level of shit that makes me to turn player off no matter what.
>>5570024
>I understand that gangstas are badass
they are not
>>5570024

Because the modern whites are cucks and want to ditch their own culture in favor of others

Im not used to that feeling. I guess because i dont choose obviously autistic figures.
Why you think that "classic pre-joints" figures are good? They were shit even back in 90s.
And that guy with bat-helmet...I dont know. Even as 90s kid i would think that he's quite shitty because of boring colors and dull design.
Basil Bat Lord however...this motherfucker is still awesome. May be his facial paint is outdated but even that is not that much of a problem.

>>5569601
awesome
>>5570037
>>5570024
How about because it's fucking funny.
It's funny because it's so silly and out of character. Like the idea of Batman waiting in front of a microwave for his lobster to cook, wearing a bathrobe and his mask while making bored sounds. Or the entirety of Batman in the Lego Movie, where he has a tremendous ego, an obsession with subwoofers and acts like a spoiled child/teenager.
Rap is not the type of music you expect Batman to listen to, let alone attempt. So when you hear Batman talking about "laying down some sick or fat beats" it's funny. When he says "Batman Out!... Wait, Batman back in" because he forgot to do a mic drop, it's funny not only because he forgot to do the mic drop, but because it's Batman doing a fucking mic drop.
>>5570084
>Im not used to that feeling. I guess because i dont choose obviously autistic figures.
Excuse me sir, please try to be environmentally conscious and place your trash opinions in the bin instead of typing them out here
I love basil but I love the stone guardian statue more. It has "boring" colors because guess what, it's stone. It isn't really boring unless you have the attention span of a fish
Also the classic legoland figures aren't supposed to be "WOAH BADASS DUDE LMAO SO GLAD WE ARE 16 WEED LMAO" but they are supposed to be a more refined taste for the more aesthetic oriented eyes. This is because they are cool antiques and tell a tale without looking like a michael bay movie molded in plastic. e.g. ninjago
>>5570196
Yeah but we all know that is over simplified of an explanation. You'd have to be naive to think that kids nowadays could sit through different music.
This tactic in hollywood developed a synthetic demographic in the 90s. Rap begun to replace all kinds of soundtracks and scores because the youth connected with it, and if Lego Batman was only using rap to make a simple joke, we wouldn't hear it all throughout the trailer.
Remember the scene in Deadpool where they all do the cool walk and rap music starts.
It was an interesting and self-conscious scene but I said to myself "ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING NIGGER MUSIC"
>>5570210

>>5570208
Agreed. God bless.
I have noticed that on all figures that I have bought, majority are post 2004, they all have what looks like a straight line split under their arms
Was this a stress relief feature added to the torso for arm problems?
Or is it just an actual stress crack?
All the torsos have them and they all look identical
The only early figure I have right now is 2000 Boba Fett and he is the only one without these

Just for funsies, I wrote a letter to customer service.
Good Morning.
I'm writing today to address a concern regarding Toys R' Us store # <12345>, located at <123 Fake Street>. I brought my son in early yesterday morning, around 11AM, so he could pick up a small Lego set of his choosing for doing a great job in school. We found a small Lego Set in a bag called Captain America's Motorcycle from the superheroes line.
He was very excited, so he picked up a handful of them, which was around 3 bags, and wanted to leave right away so he could build them. After being in line for a long time, because only one checkout lane was open, we were denied sale of the item. The manager, Nick, then had told me that I cannot purchase the item because it was street dated because of the movie. I asked him if there was anythign he could do since the items were on the shelf, with a price tag and everything, right next to other Captain America sets. Unfortunately, the manager could not do anything.
I had to explain to my autistic son that he cannot buy the set, and I had to take out some of the sets from his hands, which ended up in him almost crying. I just had to run back and get him a different set from the same line, which was somehow okay to sell.
I'd like to ask that if such items are street dated, why were they out in the aisles, priced? More importantly, why could I buy a different Captain America set from the same movie, while the other item is street dated? Shouldn't they all be street dated for the movie?
Thank you.

Two reasons: I saw one used as part of a decoy dummy minifig in a SP3 episode, and because I wanted a white one to use as a straitjacket.

>>5570547
A bunch of my figs from the 80s-90s have seams that run from the center of the arm socket all the way to the bottom of the torso (either straight down, or terminating at the bottom rear corner). My CMF Zombie Cheerleader has the same line yours does, but as your picture shows, it stops halfway between the socket and the bottom of the torso. It's just a side effect of the manufacturing process.

I know you're exaggerating but fuck me, why would someone pay serious money for a 2-inch, unarticulated printed plastic statue.
I love collecting toys but I can safely say: THAT's what I call autism
>>5570774
you must be new here, friend

Is this buildable?
>>5570792
lol, the highest I had were hungarian horntail and mad-eye moody, but I sold that set recently, now it's silver centurion [spoilerjoke]that I got for free[/spoilerjoke]
Today I got Iron Patriot and Silver Centurion from Gamestop. I'm not really into Iron Man but I wasn't gonna pass up free polybags. Should I just sell them on Ebay?
>>5570806
Hold onto them for at least a year, I promise you the wait will be worth the increase in value.
>>5570806
>Iron Patriot and Silver Centurion from Gamestop
Still? How what the fuck
Anyone in Toronto know where to get these..?
>>5570498
Man lego city always looked like the comfiest place ever, I wish they still did layouts like these.
>>5570812
Take a closer look. EVERYTHING is going wrong.
Is there a way to find bricks first used before a certain year? I need it for a lil project.
>>5570818
bricklink list the first and last years a piece was/is in production, as well as colors.
>>5570799
Sure, you could build that. The issue I see is getting any kind of amber colored 1x2 bricks in a large quantity. Call up Lego and ask them for a bunch of tran-amber colored bricks. it could happen.
>>5570809
I was looking for some PS4 games and asked the employee if they had any Lego polybags. Dude gave me both for free.
"Are you sure about this? You can still back out of it."
"No chance, doc. I got too many enemies in this town. Too many people know this mug."
"Very well. Nurse, prepare the patient for surgery."
"Right away, doctor."
"I ain't gonna feel anything, am I?"
"You won't feel a thing."
"Doctor-!"
"I see it. There we go. This is tricky business. Nurse, bring me a cigarette. I need something to steady my hand."
"Right away, doctor."

>LET'S GATTAI!! Create three or more small vehicles that combine to form a robot or a larger vehicle
By day these students are hitting the books at a music academy, but by night they're part of a top-secret emergency response team. Be it giant monsters, space shuttle rescues, or ancient floating cities these three will stay determined and handle any situation thrown at them. They are the Radiant Force!
Anyone have a good minifig scale bus stop
Like any proper giant robot show, you need your gratuitous ~1 minute transformation/combination sequences
"It's impossible!"
"Nothing is impossible if you know what you're doing."
"But the angle!"
"I said it was tricky business, didn't I? Besides, I still have a few tricks..."
Radiant Red provides long-range support for the team while being able to take out foes with a variety of projectiles, though the dual crossbows seem to be the favorite.
"Uhhhhgh... doc? Did it work?"
"The operation was a success."
"Thanks, doc, this is tops. Listen, I gotta split. If anybody asks, you never seen me."
"Of course. Be sure to tell your friends about my services."
"Listen, doc, tellin' anybody what you just did is the last thing I plan on doing!"
"Of course, just a little joke."
>>5570856
Cute.
A more calm and collected individual, the pilot of Radiant Blue prefers a more up-close method. There is nothing that her sword cannot cleave!
A more hands-on approach is used by Radiant Orange, who prefers to engage in fisticuffs and hold a determination to fist.

that sword looks badass

Wow. I'm gonna get those aluminum Jupiter figures when I get to jupiter.

Hey, cool. Build Rocket Racer, too.
This might not have looked like much, but it was by far the most intricate and complicated act of heresy I have ever accomplished, but in the end I consider it a success. The fact that the mustache overlapped the mouth on both sides made it really difficult to remove, because you need a "runway" between the pieces of tape to be able to really get some good smooth abrasion without leaving a bunch of scratch marks. At one point I had five pieces of tape on the head.
I was a little worried at the end, because even though the Brasso didn't hurt the printing, the repetitive application of Scotch tape started to pull the printing off of the mask/eyes region. I was able to touch up both the mask and the eye itself in a way that I hope nobody can notice.
>>5570864
Thanks anon
>>5570863
Kinda sorta? I don't have a use for him yet but I've been gathering masked heads.
Pls be nice. I know I'm filthy.

>>5570883
I have plans of trying similar heretic acts, but I don't want to use tape for that reason. I still have to find what the tropical rainforest version of brasso is though.
>>5570901
Which set?
>>5570905
It didn't start to come off until the third time I pulled tape off, but the amount of surface sealant varies by part and manufacture date so you might have better or worse luck. I was really surprised how readily it came off with the tape, considering how stubborn it was being on the mustache.
What are you gonna defile?

Oh.
Well, that's one of the more valuable ones. Really, your best options are probably to put it up on Bricklink or eBay I guess. Maybe Craigslist, but I think you'd probably get more on BL/eBay.

I was more inspired by Getter Go's/Neo Getter's combination method where one machine forms the top half, another the bottom half and the last one a backpack. In this case I just took a more liberal approach and used one as a scarf with one and just as a weird backpack in the others.
>>5570924
ah, so concerning BL/eBay, what can I do to cover my bases as a seller? I've read a tad too many horror stories about buyers getting a refund despite the sellers doing nothing wrong on their part.

Actually, no, im NOT exaggerating. Someone listed the iron man/cap america set from comic con on ebay a month or two ago and wanted 12k for it. I know they didnt sell it for that, but still, the point stands.
Same with that damned superman action comics set. ONE PIECE in it is unique, but fuckers regularly try to sell it for over $500.

Probably not now that the shit has hit the fan with that train wreck..

They design these sets months ahead of time, so I thought there could be a chance. I just want to get minifigs like Wonder Woman, but the design of the Batwing set does nothing for me.

I'm looking to make an 8 by 8 cube with studs outward on all six sides, similar to how some of the micro-managers from TLM were, but with no opening function needed. I'd also like to individually decorate each face, so having as many SNOT connections as possible would be good.
Basically, anyone have instructions/a link to the inner skeleton of one of these studs on all sides bricks, specifically one designed for 8x8 faces?

Yeah, this wasn't a perfect job, but there can't be any progress without some problems along the way. Short of Lego releasing a bandit without a mustache, this is the best I can do.
I tried to make a Hapan Battle Dragon and ended up with a flower with huge stamen.
Making complex ovoids out of rectangles is hard.

How is the TIE Advanced Prototype? Worth the $40? I want the figures the most, but the ship is pretty slick looking too. Wish it was $30 though.
>>5571217
I liked it enough to buy it twice, but you should be aware that it can't really sit on it's wings, as the joints it uses are not firm. It sits by folding the wings closed, which it's done a couple times in the show.
>>5571217
The Microfighter box is way cooler.
>>5570196
>How about because it's fucking funny.

>you should be aware that it can't really sit on it's wings, as the joints it uses are not firm. It sits by folding the wings closed, which it's done a couple times in the show.
Honestly that's the biggest reason I liked it.
Regular TIEs have those huge ass panels that lift the cockpit ball 12 feet off the ground and make the whole thing a nightmare to store.

It looks good, but I think you should do something to extend her left arm's reach a bit, like have her hold a robot claw or something with the bird on the end. you could also rotate the clips on her back, clip on robot claws so they stick out the sides, clip the wings into the claws, and rotate the arms so the wings angle down her back a bit more.

>>5571538
This guy kinda nails it.
So... I've recieved my Bricklink order, and I can say I'm way happier with my second version of Swampert than I was with my first.
First of all, it's a more solid build, and don't fall apart when you play with it, which is very important to me since I like to play and pose my figures. Also, I'm happy to say that it can stay on its hind legs alone in some poses, which is good since I didn't expect it being able to do that.
The arms look a bit more segmented than in the first version, but it actually helps a lot with the organic feeling of some poses, and since it's supposed to be a living, breathing creature, it's pretty important to look like one, and not like a robot.
I plan on doing some accessories for it to represent attacks, like a earthquake base and a new Ice Punch effect for the hand, though I don't think they will be done until at least next month, since I need to work on more /biog/ related stuff before that.
Also, since some people asked here and on /biog/ where I posted my creations, I've got that fist out of my ass and created a flickr account, my brickshelf gallery looks like a fucking mess and I don't like that, so from now on, my creations will be posted there :
https://www.flickr.com/photos/140486302@N06/
There's not much for the moment, but I'll try and keep it updated with more stuff regularly.

Season 2 better have huge battles with armies of these guys along with the attackers from Jestro's army. I hope Gen Magmar will run a better army than Jestro.
Was looking to pick up a Deadpool figure but seeing the current price for it and the fact that the whole set is being sold for double the price of the figure alone...

The King is one of them. Lance's dad is probably another. They said that with the hundred years of peace prior to Jestro, the number of knights has dwindled, and the four (sorry Macy) are the lowest number ever.
>>5572174
But those 4 are literally knighted in the first episode.
Which means that either every knight from earlier generation retired once those 4 passed or there weren't any before ep 1.

How much do you guys think the Ghostbusters HQ will fetch when it's retired? I'm thinking it won't be much. I just don't see a lot of love for Ghostbusters (or maybe it's just too damn expensive) and the new movie might devalue the quality of the brand.
Also, thanks Sony for basically showing the whole film in the trailer. Why do they do that?

What's even WEIRDER is that on the website, the "Royal Soldiers" are outright said to be ROBOTS!
If that's suppose to be the case, why don't they have robot heads like the Squire-bots?
Hopefully, Jestro's nearly successful assault on the Capital will warrant Knighton raise a fucking Militia...
>>5572311
>If that's suppose to be the case, why don't they have robot heads like the Squire-bots?
Because they have their own more human looking robot heads. The kingdom has been at peace, they don't have a use for maintaining a robot military, so the squirebots are pretty much the bulk of what they have available other than the Nexo Knights. Presumably the other knights are too old, and given the size of the graduating class and the class after them (5 and 2), it doesn't seem like being a knight is the goal of many people - Especially in peace time.
Now that Jestro is storming around causing trouble with the Book of Monsters, maybe the kingdom will start pumping out more royal soldiers to build up a proper army again. Hopefully we see much more of them in season 2.

But WHY?!?!
Why give your manufactured Robot Soldiers more human faces than your manufactured Robot Citizens?
Plus I think in Aaron's webisode, he's competed against one of them in a Target Shooting Contest...

The BTTF set, whilst hugely overpriced now, isn't the worst value set out there.

brickset says $99.99/£99.99, is it usually reliable?

i wish they'd release an updated version, now that it's also in Dimensions. But it will probably never happen. It's kinda sad that they have all these licenses (doctor who, bttf, wizard of oz, scooby doo, portal etc.) and they only use them for a dimensions set or a short lived theme and then never do anything else with them.
