What are some good toys with poofy dresses?

Figma Madoka and Cardcaptor Sakura are good first steps, albeit a bit high-cut.

Does anyone know if there are any 1:12/around 1:12 scale hoodies, preferably in dark grey or black around? Cloth is probably the best, given that I want to put it on another figure, and if it's plastic, that might create unnecessary issues.

Usually, yes. Quite a few of the animu Figmas have very similar joints and parts, so you should be able to change it with a different head*
*though i don't get the animu Figmas and i'm only speaking from second hand knowledge, so take it with a grain of salt.

I've never liked Magical Girl shows. I thought Sailor Moon, and Card Captor, etc were for little girls and fags.I still don't like them. But I watched Madoka on a whim, and a recommendation from somebody who's opinion I trust, and loved it.
Like I said, I'm a designer, the stuff that hooked me first was the imagery, and the details. Then the story. And any show that is this rooted in Faust, can't be that bad.
