How do you guys feel about knock-off Lego? I just got this custom Heath ledger, and I've got to admit, it's face print is much better than the official. Has anybody got a full knock-off Lego set?

heard good things about enlighten and some other brands for full sets but i haven't found one i like that also isn't approaching lego in price, i guess because they're heavier and cost more to ship
I love near a swap meet that has a couple booths always selling knock off Lego sets. I'd rather just buy legit ones, but sometimes it's neat seeing knock off mini figs for series that don't have anything official licensed.

Chinese minifigs are fine, as long as you realise that the quality of the detailing is pretty much hit or miss. Case in point, my Deadpool and Green Arrow minifigs that were received as part of an eight piece "superhero" pack...

...and here are the Flash / Joker representations, with the latter being something between something of a Jared Leto / 60s TV series Joker amalgamation. Not perfect, but taking into regard that the set cost less that four bucks delivered, such misgivings are easily forgiven IMHO.
I just ordered these for the hell of it. 24 minifigs for 20 bucks. Haven't arrived yet but they look bretty good in the pic.

I like the extra details the knockoff guys sometimes put on figures. Like alternate faces for figs that didn't have any, I got a Wonder Woman with sculpted curves, which was cool, I bought a set that came with 8 extra blaster rifles, 8 extra blaster pistols and 8 extra light sabre hilts. Pretty cool of them to do. I swapped the dumb stud-shooter guns from official battle packs with them.

Go to aliexpress, type Lego minifigures, welcome to knockoff heaven. Delivery is free, but if you choose this option, it'll take about three weeks to arrive, which is ok. Make sure to pick a good brand tho, decool, sheng yeun and blockworld are among the best, almost Lego-quality, read the description of what you're buying and it'll say what brand it is. A set of 8 figures usually cost around 4 dollars 50 cent, so it's a great deal, really.

I just bought 7 of the Enlighten pirate ships.
They come with a good collection of minifigs-each ship came with at least 3(even the small sets).
The Imperial Warship set is a clear clone of the Lego imperial war ship from the 90s. Even the color scheme is the same.
I would rate the sets a solid 8/10. The bricks connect well, the some of the minifigures even have their own original sculpted accessories.
My two issues is that the directions are no entirely user friendly and they just throw the pieces into bags. Makes sorting a pain in the butt.

The eyes are the white dots and the smaller black circle around them.
The grey line and outer black rings and spots are make-up.
Lego eyes being color inverted kind of ruin the look of a Ledger Joker, you would need to make the entire eye area black which looks weird and wrong, picrelated.
Bootleg joker has giant white pupils, I don´t know if it would look better with smaller pupils. Maybe, but the bootleg uses the same strategy to differentiate the eyes and make-up, it´s just that the grey is noticeably darker which is because of grey on black printing while Lego printed on flesh or white making it lighter because they want their colors to look the same across their parts.
It´s quite understandable.
The official suit is also far superior to the bootleg except for the dark blue hands that should be purple or dark grey. At least dark blue is a rare color and can be used elsewhere while the Bootleg completely fucks it up with white hands.

Left bane is 10x better, even aside from the extra mask piece and coat, the eye alignment is really off on the official, if you take into account where a Lego characters eyes should be, the bootleg looks fine, eye spacing is perfect.
