The thing is that is clearly a great sculpt of Bruce Campell as he looks now. Which is a pretty old man. I think part of what is throwing people off with the sideshow sculpt is just how much younger Bruce Campbell looked in evil dead 2. I am not saying that sculpt is perfect but I don't think it is as far off as some people think. It's probably more that they think of Army of Darkness when they think of Ash.

The problem is that Sideshow are shit. It was OK to be the poor man's Hot Toys back when their figures were $100 cheaper, but now they've decided to match HT pricing without matching their quality. I can almost guarantee based on recent releases the production version will look nowhere near this good.
