I honestly think that's about as close to mecha perfection as we're going to see on the big screen. That and the Mk2 parts-check/test flight sequence in the first movie are my favorite parts of the MCU. Fuck, I might make it my first HT purchase...

Seriously, why didn't they just stick with this version of WM? Everyone knows he's supposed to be a bigger, more armored and decked out Iron Man, he shouldn't need to be sleeked out at all.

its because Tony didn't like all the Hammertec gear on one of his suits
mk2/Iron patriot was war machine but with Starktec equipment.
that being said, I would also prefer if they just kept the war machine through the rest of the movies
