The Figuarts are show accurate (or as close as they can get), while SIC are more elaborate with there design. Plus, the are a but bigger than figuarts. I prefer the modern version of Ichigo with the silver boots and gloves while many others like the Sakurajima Version(his very first suit).

I like this one because it's his modern costume plus it comes with his ride. Can't be a Kamen Rider without a ride.

The SIC of Ichigo is also highly praised. Good articulation and the sculpting is killer. Older SIC have garbage articulation, and SIC are pretty big, like 8 inches, so they tend to stick out and not interact as well with other figures.
I prefer figuarts because they have great articulation, great sculpts, and they can fit in with most 6 inch scale collections (they're a bit small, but I attribute that to them just being Japanese).
SIC is good if it's going to be a stand alone or display piece, though.

It's okay for the first half but the second half basically shoves characters in that you don't care about but they end up ruining characters you did care about, they add so much drama for absolutely no reason, the fights in modern day are all done as Emperor Kiva so you have to listen to Tatsulot's shrieking every episode, and so on. The best part of the second half is basically the last five episodes since Otoya is really good in it.

It's a good series, but it drops its better concepts and ditches the female lead later on (Japan didn't like the idea of progressive female characters at the time). It can also get pretty damn violent, if not had the most violence of all Showa series.

When i was a little kid, I loved watching Ace so my opinion maybe biased. But it is always the best Ultraman show for me. The main character, Hokuto and Minami, are really cool. Especially Hokuto, he really carried the show.

Chaser does seem really nice. The reason I like Proto so much is due to the matte black on the body, and since I do like Drive's overall aesthetic, this suit gives off more of what a mass produced police version of Drive *should* look like-- not that weird thing they did based off the Mach suit, haha.

A little disappointing to have him so early as a repaint variant more or less, but the villain plus the combatman are an interesting choice and the other 2 Riders are pretty cool. Hope to get some more of the uniquely designed Riders in the future. Really interesting about the mystery figure. Definitely getting this wave too. Lots of Showa stuff to do, and if this line can keep going and get into Heisei that'd be great. I have a feeling with a villain like this people may actually see this line as one with potential for huge, expansive growth.

Don't attach the belt bits unless you're straight up planning on wearing them at the time. Makes them take up double the space for no reason.
Mine are basically just scattered around my room on different shelves with extra bits still in their original boxes. Kept the boxes in a closet to eventually put the belts back if they took up too much space and to hold the extra stuff as well.

There's liking Gaim then there's recognizing you may have a problem.
So for the past 2 months I have been on a bit of an SHF binge. So much so that I am probably gonna take a break off non-preorder purchases for next year.
First just recently I got my Proto Drive. Really nice. Great matte finish that looks as good as imagined it. I was concerned that his rear light and shoulder lights were just painted on, but watching the Episode 0 again I realized it was surprisingly like that on the suit.
And, on the same day no less, I got type Formula. I dunno... I know Bandai can have issues with accuracy and go their own way, but I think they were VERY liberal with the sculpt this time. Still, love Formula. I know people are really divisive on the radical, bulky design but I think it's great.

In all seriousness, I did get Formula. Interesting to get two ends of the evolutionary (and design) spectrum for Drive. Knew it would look great as an SHF. Still, putting on those damn stickers is a real labor of love. Even if you go at it using a pin or stick, the design has a lot of little crevices to screw you up. Of course there's also worry of how well they will stick over time. You really need to love Formula which isn't easy for some people, I know. Articulation is limited by the design, but so was the suit.
Then Groundain, Drive before Drive. Loved his design to death as much I do Drive designs. Heavily detailed, bulky, and really runs with the motif. Loose legs, which I expected from reviews. Don't have his sister yet, but plan to. Metal Sonic in shot because both of these suit remind me a lot of him. In fact, it can be said he is the inspiration for my tastes in these suits.
ZO is really simple, but really interesting to look at in any pose due to how his gold trimm follows his body. Solid everything. Want to display him with his little grasshopper friend but I am afraid of it being lost. Tempting me to get Doras.
Kiva La pushed me to get Femme, who I have been wanting for a while anyway because the suit is lovely. Pretty tiny head, like a couple of other SHF of the time. However that is just about the only proportional issue I had. The rest of the body works well, which is the issue I had with some of the other Ryuki Riders where it looks like Bandai's sculptors looked more at the weirdly proportioned concept art rather than the actual suits. She an actually hold her weapon, unlike Kiva La...

Finally, my most anticipated figure of the bunch. Got it for the design, but Metronome's sub of the show got me to actually start watching the show which made me anticipate it even more.
It's amazing. I am sad that the Japanese had to have weak bladders and piss their pants when Hibiki breathed a monster on fire. Or at least sad they are so central in Bandai's demographic for Rider SHF, as justified as it is. We ain't getting more Oni Riders anytime soon and that saddens me. Never have SHF joints blended so well with a design.

It's supposed to be the Sakurajima variant. To be honest, the only difference I see is the eyes being red instead of the pinkish yellow of the last one. I think he's supposed to have a sword? At least based on the Figuarts, so I would assume he might come with that? Honestly, it's a tiny change...
