I think the price is unlikely to change too much even if it shows up at Amiami--it's gonna stay around the same as the original 3Z webshop price (which is precisely what HLJ is charging). It can be both. The archetypal White Whale is the toy you very badly want, and is very rarely available. You missed buying it when it was first made available for whatever reason, and since then every chance you've had you've missed. Didn't have the cash when you saw it at a store, outbid at the last second on ebay, ordered it on Mandarake but it was sold at the store before your order was processed, etc.

I have 3A Master Chief and it's dogshit as far as posing. If you'd like a display piece, it's alright. I'm keeping mine as I have the other Spartans. But the figure can't hold a candle to NECA's 18 inch MC as far as posability is considered. Shame really, because I really wanted to like it and it's pretty nicely painted and weathered.

This picture illustrates my problem with the figure pretty well. In the manga, Kaiman always seems to fill out his clothes, they're almost skin-tight actually. You can tell he's a big thick dude. But the 3Z figure looks like a skinny guy in a loose-fitting boiler suit. It doesn't feel right. Sure, the boiler suit style probably affords him more articulation than a skintight suit would have, but in this case I'm much more concerned with aesthetics. Dorohedoro has a very unique style that I love, and I feel like 3Z really wasted their chance to do it justice.
Either this or SoC Gunbuster.
The difference is that the latter has actually been released, whereas this one most likely will not be.

I just prefer the look of that one. The joints align with the sculpt better and the faces capture Guts and the overall tone of the series more closely. That and if it were to be hypothetically released, it would likely be much cheaper on account of being unlicensed.

They're... Not that great.
Actually, they're horrible. Very, Very, VERY horrible! They fell apart with the lightest breeze, into a thousand pieces that broke in half when they fell two inches onto a pillow. Wonky articulation that was hampered by the big skirt, big shoulder sleeves, big wings, big ribbon, etc. The plastic was cheap & fragile as a model's. I've seen dollar store figures more durable and with better quality control.
These white whales are not worth your time & money, anon. You can find better & cheaper battle maido figures than these out of production hunks of junk.
