40 bucks is not that bad , maybe it is cheap for AUS or other countries but a week ago I got a Mako for like 50 with the extra pre order beat up faceplate , I guess it is a matter of luck with the prices .

He's great. Only problem I have is the peg on the back of his sheath fit too tight into the special connector they give you for it and it ended up breaking off inside of the thing. Really bummed me out and I never hamhand my collection so it was odd to see something like that happen. Thankfully I have some claw hooks I could use to hold him upright if I want to display him with his sheath on his back.

It's difficult to gauge sword popularity , but it does look like they've covered all the seemingly super popular swords except Hasebe. Yamatonokami might also be one of the popular ones.
I appreciate the speed they're releasing at. It gives me a little hope that my favorite swords will be made before the series dies.

It really just depends, like Nichijous, Hachikuji, Red, Isabelle, and Tomoko are very expensive and are kinda hard to find. However, it's generally pretty easy for the ones you listed. If you haven't already, you should make an MFC account. A lot of people are selling Tomoyo and Menma for around $30-$38. Someone with a 100% rating is selling Tomoyo for $33 shipped but it's preowned. I generally had positive experiences purchasing figs from other users. Mandarake is also good for buying older nendoroids, along with amiami preowned. If you're in Pacific time, amiami preowned updates at 8PM and they list some stuff about 20 or 10 minutes before. Then Mandarake has various physical stores. So purchase from one location at a time if you can.

Fuck rereleases. Having rare stuff and going on a hunt for rare items is what makes collecting fun. If something is so abundant then it devalues the item, and it's not as cool unless someone really likes the character. This isn't even limited to toy collecting either, this is more with any hobby. If a rock collector has gold in their collection, and an everyday rock, then of course the gold is worth more because it's rarer. Just like the other anon said, rereleases are a fuck you to aftermarket buyers.

Having something rare that stands out in your collection will give a collector immense satisfaction. The only people that want rereleases are people who were late to the party. Like I said, when an item is more abundant, then that lowers the value and the item is less cool, unless a person really likes thd character. It's why going on a hunt for your grail is fun. You're going on a search for possibly years, motivated to find this rare item, and when you finally get it, the feeling is amazing.

Very few nendoroids are actually rare, and if you do find them you are going to have to shell out 30000 yen for them, stop bitching about rarity when it hardly exists in this hobby, all the things that get re-releases aren't even rare, they are just in demand. Hakase, Nano, and Tomoko are in demand and yet they don't have rereleases. Yoshino was just as popular as Tomoko and Date a Live isn't even that popular, just like Watamote, and she got a rerelease. Now stores can't get rid of Yoshino because everyone has her now. She's cute and all, but she went from rarer and valuable to nearly binning. No one really expected nendo rereleases until 2015 and the rerelease train just took off from there. So not a lot of aftermarket buyers expected rereleases at the time.

Watamotes anime is over, so Tomoko isn't getting a re-release good smile said that themselves and she isn't even popular in japan. Hakase and Nano are pre number 300 nendoroids and good smile is reluctant to re-release them because of that despite popularity and more nichijou coming out. I could see a 2.0 coming out for Hakase and Nano possibly but still unlikely. but people aren't going to see a re-release for tomoko ever so everyone may as well bite the bullet on her because if you are lucky you can find her on B/B condition amiami for 7000 yen which isn't too bad. She's worth it if you are a fan of watamote because the series has such little merchandise and the nendoroid is the only poseable figure the series has.

Kogi is absolutely wonderful he's so cute and there's so much detail.
