Nah hes right. The 90's were, for the most part, dominated by shitty artwork, and shitty crossovers. There are a few exceptions, but they are few and far between.
The 80's were OK, Clairemont had some good runs but the only reason he was seen as such a visionary is because everything else was so mediocre in comparison at that time. Hickman or Vaughn blows him away by comparison.
Besides man, the last 10 years have seen some of the best works in comics get released. Companies like Image have really upped the bar with what you can do with a comic.

I've gotten a few from Wal-Mart and always have to pick and choose because lots of them have warped forks, handlebars, or signal lights.

Hey, thanks. Sorry it took me a while to reply. Yup, Maisto 1:18s but I have to say I have not encountered any warped forks, handlebars or signal lights, on most of my bikes. My main problem is with twin exhausts, they never line up properly.
Most of the bikes I own are from the early series, the 6 brick boxes are for the original 5 Series, only two bikes have warped components, specially the 1909 as it has very fiddly parts.
What I do is boil water and dip the offending part for a couple of seconds, enough to soften the plastic and bend it back to the correct position.
Pic related, my cowhide Harley, as you can see, no warps anywhere, I bought it about 6 months ago as a reissue.

For a long time, I had them posed in a much more varied manner. Some alone, some facing off against each other. Lots of action bases.
Then one day recently I went full autismo and decided it was too busy, too messy. Spent the better part of a day rearranging shit. When all was said and done, I realized that having them like that not only freed up alot of extra space, it also put more focus on each model on its own.
I likely won't mess with them for a while, unless it's, as you said, paint or mod something. I have about 50 kits and about only 10% of those are painting or customized.
One of these days I'm going to finally stop buying kits and start saving for an airbrush. I'm running out of fucking room.

Yeah I guess if you get to +25 kits, there's only so much you can do in terms of posing because of space, so I'm picking up what you're putting down.
However, if they're just snapped up kits with little to no detail work done, then it wouldn't hurt to show off their articulation and accessories more so than just the OOB kit, but that's just me. Besides, you have MGs and they're pretty damn nice on their own.
As you can see, I don't have too many kits built yet myself but I have some custom WIPs and a backlog to get through. I am running out of room though, so I might get another small bookcase for my HGs, and maybe another detolf for MGs and customs.
