Well, such is life. Most of the keys were exclusive to a single set outside of a few outliers that got put in another set. For the most part they should be around $15-20 for a single one with exceptions. Metallic OOO is an expensive one, all of JAKQ and Battle Fever are expensive usually being $40 a key, Gokai Christmas is reasonable, all the characters that are like Ninjaman, Signalman, Rio, and Mele will be $20-40 most of the time, and so on. It's why I just didn't bother past the normal DX sets, it gets to be crazy hard to justify paying for some really low quality keys just to finish off the collection.

Honestly the Gaim lineup is pretty bad. Suika, Jam, Ringo Baron, and Dragonfruits Duke I could see getting released. Gold and Silver apples seem forever ago, and Kiwi/Ichigo/Dark Gaim/Peco are all pretty underwhelming at this point.

The thing about the Gaim line is that there are a ton of recycled parts. A lot of forms are straight up repaints of others (Gaim Yami, Ryugen Yomi) and quite a few use identical torso armor and helmets.

Kuuga and Agito are very very similar in design so their SHFSS' are a lot closer to each other than say Kuuga and Kabuto.

Yeah, the Ghost line seems to be pulling another Drive, where they severely overestimate how popular it's going to be. Gaim was a pain in the ass because they underestimated due to Wizard's low sales and Drive stuff is super cheap and easy to find for the exact opposite reason.

Mine seems fine. That said the figure does have an issue with his right ankle not being able to move inward as far as his left. There's a fix for it that involves popping the sole of the foot off and trimming a little bit on the inside, but I can't find the image for it right now.

I just got Ultra Act Ultraman, renewal version. THEN I hear there's going to be an SHF Ultraman, along with others like Ultra Seven, is this true?
I thought Ultra Acts were pretty much just figuarts, bandai just called them something else cus the amount of Ultraman characters warranted their own line. I guess I was wrong though.
I know the Ultraman SHFs aren't out yet, but did I make a mistake? Should I have waited for the SHF Ultraman instead of getting the Ultra Act? Should I wait for the SHF Ultra Seven or get the Ultra Act?

Ultra Acts, while fairly similar, are definitely better than the figuarts, the bodies look much better and they're in scale with the soft vinyl monsters.
Figuarts instead match the less defined bodies and are in scale with other figuarts. Easy to resell characters this way, they fit in with the other production and they consolidate everything under one brand.

The Ultra-Acts look much better than the Figuarts but the issue is that Ultra-Act is basically dead unless the SHF line bombs and they go back to Ultra-Acts. You got the better figure but if they come out with a character in the SHF line who's not already gotten an Ultra-Act (other than X since he's a shrimp anyways) then you might have some scale issues.

Color isn't particularly consistent so it has a regular white, a yellowish white, and a white that isn't painted well so black underneath shows through. The antennae are loose so if you try to angle his neck or lift his mask one might fall out. There's really no excusing the eyes on him. While his legs are good his arms are very limited, no real swivel and the shoulder tire is picky.
For a pretty simple costume he's disappointing.

Why are SHF thigh swivels such shit? This "unique" inner sheath thing they've got going...it just doesn't work very well most of the time. I mean, by design it only allows you a few degrees of movement in either direction before the outer thigh pieces bumps into the hip joint. And lacking a usable thigh swivel makes it REALLY hard to do some pretty basic poses. Come on Bandai, this is basic shit, stop trying to be all "innovative" at the cost of articulation and just give me a goddamn thigh cut.
And yes, I know this is slowly becoming less of a problem as Bandai seems to be shifting over to Type 2 hips for the most part, but they're still using Type 1s at random, and that thigh movement is still shit on most of them.

Yeah, they're pretty shit, it's why i'm glad they swapped to usually sticking with type 2 for riders now, with only the rare exception like sango. Honestly though i don't think they give you an overly hindered amount of movement, pretty much the amount a real leg would give you, but i get what you're coming from.

Renewal Black RX, who I am otherwise very pleased with. When you raise his legs too high, they tend to want to turn inwards, which a thigh cut would have solved neatly. I understand that Bandai was trying to go for a (relatively) seamless and realistic look, but SHF is also supposed to be known for its poseability so I'm a bit disappointed.
I recall having this issue with a lot of the Showa Riders, actually. Not just in the thighs, but also in the biceps, where they had the exact same problem--Bandai didn't want to put in actual cuts, so they put in this halfassed "sheathed" joint that barely has any range at all.

Yeah they always did the original style thighs for all showa riders, hence why they gave them to sango. Eh, thigh cuts always seemed alot more kid-toy-ish to me, probably because that's what the change toylines use . Bandai should have maybe allowed the hips to swing down further enough to give just a bit more give when raising the leg up, so you can go up beyond just 90 degreeds.
Still, you do get a pretty decent amount of movement out of them for what they are, you can actually get them to cross their legs and everything. If i couldn't get them with type 2, then i'd prefer these to an actual thigh cut.
