Isn't the whole point of the 3D modeling and printing revolution supposed to be that you can make your own items from scratch? Just learn Maya and zbrush, they don't have an incredibly steep learning curve. I think they even teach it in some high schools now.

OP, grabcad.com has free files to download too. Gotta register with the site (just need a legit email), and for things not in the scale you want, just use Shapeways's scaling option when you upload an STL file.
