I did this one a while ago for my phone. It was important for it to have rubbery feet so it can't slide about. Bonkle joints allow some options with tilt.
I also started making something that held the phone more securely and featured a small turntable for orientation, but I got pissed off with the bulk of it by the time I started figuring out how to make the whole thing stand freely.

The LDD model from before was I believe a mockup of mcquarrries original concept, which was reproduced in the rebels a wings.
Originally when I started making this like 10 months ago, I was following krispy's design which is identical to the LDD model structure but done in the dark red from episode 6. Mine is also based off the episode 6 design (which I am pretty sure is the model in Battlefront) but I have it in blue for aesthetic reasons and the parts I have available. Internally it is completely different, the piecesused to achieve the wedge shape and some other bits and pieces are the only un original parts of the model. When it is done I will post breakdowns.

HP sets are out of production for 4 years and due to often limited availability and 2010-2012 Lego being expensive on the aftermarket in general it's a really bad choice for a gift for a kid, don't even bother because it's 99% scalpers anyway.

The Rebels Stormies are okay. The printing's nice and neat (leg printing is very welcome), they're very much Stormtroopers.
My one problem with them isn't really the frowny helmet, it's that the helmet print is just a little bit off-center compared to the physical ridges on the helmet mold. It's just a little thing, but it gets to my autism.
Pic related: both troopers are using the same helmet piece, but you can see how the eye print is a little too high on the Rebels one.

The blotchy printing on the Shadow Troopers bugs me a whole lot more than anything about the Rebels Troopers.

I enjoyed the set, it was an interesting build, but it doesn't feel like something that should have been called a "snowspeeder" to me, after the classic ones were enclosed fighter-style craft. Something like "First Order Strike Transport" would have come off better, I think.

The big transport is a fantastic set, lots of fun to build, lots of fun to play with. The pop-up Storm Trooper for the blaster turret is definitely a favorite among everyone I show it to. Plus, a fantastic selection of minifigs. The only flaw? No flames included for the Flametroopers. Gonna have to steal a couple big flame pieces from my City firemen sets and turn those white 1x1 cylinders on the guns around to hold them...

Hell, even just "First Order Strike Speeder" would have been nice, but I'm guessing it's only used on an Ice Planet and thus only gets Snowtroopers...

Doubt they'll stay on the Blaster Rifle barrels if you do that, but we've got >>5281346 coming with Trans Orange hole Studs and the original white versions that you could plug into the underside of the cylinder.

You are correct, I just tried it. I'll have to get some of the studs-with-holes pieces to work it up. The new trans-orange ones will be nice, too. Even the white ones would work to extend the barrel.
I will have Flame Troopers lighting Ewoks on fire, no matter how much work it takes!

Okay guys, what do you think of this for the flametroopers?
I did have to use two of the stud-with-hole pieces, as the gun barrel is long enough to fill the first one, but the second one leaves enough room for the flame. Do you think the long or the short flame looks better?
