Any word on release date for these guys? All I've seen is November.
>>5269352
They might be selling them right now at Blizzcon.
>>5269352
the game's shit but that Arthas is perfect.
>>5269352
Looks like Illidan and Nova are out already
http://gear.blizzard.com/index.php/default/heroes-collectibles-figures.html
>>5269546
The game is fucking awesome. I suspect you think it's shit because you suck ass at it and rage quit after getting pwnt.
>>5270144
>and rage quit after getting pwnt
How fucking old are you?
>>5270155
Lingo aside, he isn't wrong.
>>5270144
Naw man the game is shit. You're just too casual to realize.
>>5270372
>Naw man the game is shit.
Actually, the opposite of this is more accurate.
>You're just too casual to realize.
This one's accurate to yourself, friend.
You can get them on otakumode right now for $25.99 each
>>5270384
>calling others casual
>thinks babbys first MOBA is good
>>5269352
He is tight
>>5270461
>soft goods
Fuck.
>>5270472
The cape is looks good, the crotch cloth could be better, it can be weathered.
>>5270472
I bought Arthas, Tyrael and Stitches at Blizzcon. I'll post pics when I get to the hotel if anyone wants to see.
>>5270488
Guess I'll do that. How's the articulation?
>>5270489
yeah that would be cool.
>>5270489
Yes please.
>>5270489
I wanna see Stitches for sure.
>>5270490
Have you ever owned or had at hand any of the Gears of War figures? It's like that. Stiff joints arms don't bend at a 90 degree angle, same with the knees.
>>5270496
Well that's a bummer. Illidan and Nova had decent articulation, was hoping for the same here.
Really looking forward to these. My big three wants from this line are Arthas, Tyrael and Jimmy Raynor.
>>5270489
Is Stitches seriously a $50 figure like he's being sold as in some places? Is he big and detailed enough to feel like it warrants that?
This is the wildest pose he can pull.
>>5270501
They're bulkier figures though, so it's understandable that they wouldn't have the same kind of range.
>>5270505
So no sitting I guess?
>>5270508
Why would you need him to sit?
>>5270508
He can barely make a sitting pose. But it can be done.
>>5270519
I might be alone, but admittedly that looks pretty badass.
>>5270513
>>5270519
Thanks for that. Definitely a buy now.
>>5270513
cuz he is depicted like that a lot
>>5270520
It is
>>5270519
Nice makeshift deck box chair.
these two when?
>>5270555
Both are major. I wouldn't be too surprised to see them before too long. I would guess Kerrigan before Sylvanas though.
>>5270555
The first wave were assassins, this wave were warriors...
Wave 2: Malfurion and Tassadar
Wave 3: Gazlowe and Abathur
Wave 4: Zeratul and Raynor
Wave 5: Stitches and Diablo
>>5270505
I'm not a fan of the color of the fur by the boots. I always imagined it a darker grey.
>>5270555
Honestly, I wouldn't bet on them getting proper figures. Statues, most likely.
>>5270555
Falstad when?
Okay I admit I just want the gryphon.
Anybody think that the significantly different skins could get a figure? I got a hankering for an angelic Diablo.
>>5271037
A line based on this game, I sure hope so.
But it'd have to last that long, first.
>>5271037
NECA loves reusing sculpts.
>>5270932
Fuck, have to wait for wave 5 to get the only figure I want.
i just got 2x nova [1 to redo as human kerrigan] and then wait till tassadar, zeratul, raynor and artanis for my sc collection [though i have the original tassadar figure from years ago too].
but i need valla too... my gf mains her and itd be a nice present for her. ugh. fml another line to buy stuff from
>>5270555
Mmm, Sylvanas ;)
>>5271136
Mmhmmm she is the best bitch
>>5270932
m8, Wave 2 is Arthas, Tyrael and Stitches
>>5270529
please pose Satsuki and Ryuko next to Arthas as his harem
Blizzcon anon here. Wasn't able to take pics and probably won't until I'm home in a few hours but if you can wait until then, I did take this one last night of stitches before packing him away.
And for the ladies
>>5271401
I need this figure.
>>5271401
lewd...
Finally home. Man, these are great figures. The only problems, for me, are the elbows not having much range of motion.
>>5271595
Oh, pic.
>>5271625
I'll get on that for you, anon.
>>5271676
>Jakks Link
Perfect, just who I had in mind. Thanks, Blizzconon.
>>5271676
He looks so awesomely gross! I fucking want that.
>>5271681
No problem, anon.
>>5271620
I kinda wish the stomach was removable so he could swallow other figures
>>5271689
>>5271689
His detail is great. Incoming dump.
>>5271695
$50 US
>>5271696
That'd be cool, but just slightly pliable.
>>5271703
His face is so awesome and the articulated jaw is great.
>>5271701
Wasn't too interested in it but looks really nice. Almost sold on it but the 50 price tagged makes me step back a bit.
Hope the other two will ship from BBTS soon.
>>5271731
I feel you on that. I clearly am biased because of how much of a blizzard fan I am, but he seems worth $50. If they do a Diablo or Rexxar or some other big heroes character and it's half as good as him, I'd be very happy.
>>5271737
keep in mind that there is already a diablo by neca. its D3 Diablo though.
Stitches guy, can you make him do lewd stuff with other figures?
>>5271731
I totally forgot about BBTS. Just ordered Arthas. Thanks!
>>5271748
Eh, probably not BUT here's an update.
His tongue is on a ball joint that's on a rail system that allows it to be pulled out.
>>5271846
Need to have him gorging on a pack of Tic Tacs.
How the wave 2 look next to Nova and illidan?
I was worry that stitches was going to look small and being more expensive, but after seeing this I think he is just right
>>5271748
>wanting anything lewd with a fatty.
You disgust me.
>>5272007
Maybe is self insert
I need that Tyrael.
>Check ebay
>Literally not a single listing of the figures
Fuuuug
>>5272077
He'll be available in stores soon enough
So are they better as display pieces or can you get some good action poses out of em OP?
Best place to order them from?
Pretty disappointed Illidan isn't in his demon form
>>5269549
Yeah, I got Illidan at Toys R Us.
>>5269352
All it says is November 2015. Most likely near the end of the month... Arthas indeed does look fucking dope.
>>5270555
Too much ass, tho.
>>5272273
Shipping calender says it goes out to retailers the 5th of next month
>>5272100
if you order more than one, go with jet.com and use coupon 15bucksnow to get 15 off. its 24.99 as opposed to 22.99 elsewhere, but you get 15 off and free ship over 35. visa cards get 1.5% off and if you waive the free return you get another dollar back.
free return is only if you dislike the item, if its defective they cover shipping.
Can Arthas do his "I'm summoning some zombies" pose? The highlander pose? The Frog from Chrono Trigger pose?
>>5272113
Fine, I'll fucking buy it.
God damn.
>>5272408
You mean where he points the sword straight out?
Finally got them all together (in shit lighting) and man I cannot wait to get more heroes made.
>>5272532
Oh, image.
>>5272541
It kind of bugs me that Stitches is so small when he costs so much more. I expected him to be noticeably larger.
Also, I wonder how these will look with the WoW movie figures.
>>5272541
That is a very nice group of figures and very fun wave 1. Here's to many more!
>>5272567
Kinda, ya, but he's in proper scale. If you compare him to Nova it makes sense, but then Tyrael and Arthas show up and they're both huge. I'd still imagine that Stitches weighs quite a bit comparatively. Anyone who has them can verify?
>>5272573
Blizzanon here, he's a hefty figure, twice the amount of plastic of Arthas and Tyrael and like 4 times as much as Nova.
NECA just really killed it with these.
Anub'arak fucking when?
>>5272774
When you stop touching yourself.
>>5272747
I would liked the TF2 line having this much care.
Maybe then it wouldn't ended with the spy...
But hope that teach them to do better in the future.
Like this HoTS figures
>>5272777
But I don't. I even have ED. Even if I wanted to fap I couldn't. Viagra just gives me a risk of a heart attack.
anyone got a pic of nova with a marvel legends figure? curious as to how tall she is
>>5272774
Anub'arak is my #1 since WC3. Would buy.
>>5272802
>But hope that teach them to do better in the future.
Oh shut up.
>>5273127
Girth, paint, his accessories are large, too. It's all those factors.
Kael'thas when?
>>5273094
Don't you want better?
I mean, this are good
But other times you get really questionable results
Specially with valves licenses
I like neca, but I don't like when they do really questionable stuff
>>5273346
I like how you try to compare this new stuff and license to the past, as if it has any bearing whatsoever.
>>5273384
And I'm saying this new stuff is great, and I hope it does great, so they see to don't cut corners or something
And we don't get back to the past tendencies they had from time to time
>>5273482
You do realize it was Valve's fault for a lot of the issues they had, right?
>>5273511
> Its valves fault for frozen joints, shitty plastic, and poorly designed joints that can't be more than 5 degrees.
>>5273525
Nice ignorance you are displaying there bud.
Hell, think just a tiny little. Valve had to have okayed the final product. That tells fucking plenty about the situation.
>>5273525
Which comes down to budgetting, which CAN be affected by Valve and how they handle the licensing and how much they charge.
I never said NECA's absolved entirely, but clearly Valve is a pain to work with.
>>5273529
I get that valve have to OK the final project
But why would Valve administrate how much corners they will cut and stuff
And how can I tell when something was valve fault and other neca fault
>>5273566
well it's not like valve told neca to go all out and neca plopped out what they gave us.
There is a thing called compromise with how much they can spend on engineering, sculpting, painting, production, shipping and how much they retail for.
>>5273566
Did nobody notice the Valve figures were solicited for a higher price when they started showing up? I suspect they've got ridiculous licensing costs or expect a larger cut, something to that effect.
>>5273572
What I can think is that valve ask for a big cut and that is why the figures cut corners to keep the standar price
Or maybe the Chinese factory was awful and was just bad luck
I don't know
NECA should try to get the DOTA2 license to they can reuse all of the Blizzard molds and get their money's worth out of them.
>>5273601
>>5273582
They probably expected them to sell based on name alone, despite how shitty they were.
Normies wouldn't give a shit because "MUH TF2 FIGMAS" and they're the group Valve was trying to sell to.
These heroes of the storm figures will outsell tf2 by a landslide. They're all made, amazingly sculpted and painted, they pull from all blizzard properties and each one has a thematic genre that can appeal to the casual toy collector or anyone not familiar with the properties since its fantasy and scifi
>>5273601
I'd do things for a Tusk figure.
>>5270502
Yup, he was $50 at Blizzcon and they sell at MSRP.
>Tyrael doesn't have his wings
I mean I kinda get it. sort of hard to pull off ethereal light wings on a toy but he looks kinda lame without em.
>>5273601
We were told it will never happen
>>5273762
But they DOTA 2 cast is literally just recolor rip offs of Blizzard properties. It would be easy money.
>>5273769
Stop, you're embarrassing yourself.
>>5273759
I'm thinking of making some that clip of his wings to act as a stand, maybe cast them if they turn out nicely. I'll update when I get them done.
>>5272541
they fucked up with tyrael, rather than giving him little ruffled wings, they should a included them where you can attach them to his back . like illidan a d novas ponytail .
>>5273857
It's not really a big deal. Especially considering how good the figure is anyway.
>>5273934
well, yeah. not saying the figure in general sucks, it's bad ass, but was it really that a hard to give him his wings? they could a been clear with the paint gradually shifting to give it that ethereal look.
Well, I might as well not look at these. They are going to be expensive as fuck in Canada, and hard to get.
>>5272567
>Also, I wonder how these will look with the WoW movie figures.
Based on Jakks' past toys, definitely cheaper and less paint.
The WWE line was pretty good and basically ideal model (of toys they've made) to use for the movie's more mature (and supposed collectors) aim compared to their Pokemon or World of Nintendo toys, but I guess we'll see what happens at toy fair.
>>5274628
I don't play HotS but I gather that everyone is roughly the same size for balance reasons.
In WoW, Stitches is huge so this stitches would be out of scale. However I had a discussion once that suggested raid bosses and monsters are not actually 30 foot tall giants, they are just represented that way for the sake of game mechanics. 25 people all trying to mob around a human sized enemy would be really hard to see.
>>5274899
Meanwhile Lich King is human-size so he looks humorously small compared to the other raid bosses.
>>5274904
> Literally the most powerful entity in the Lore is the smallest boss
Gotta hide that power level.
Gimee my Prime wannabe!!
>>5275129
>Prime wannabe
uwut
>>5270384
>open the game
Updating 2MB!
>open it again
Updating again!
>buy a dragon mount thing
you just ride it, it doesnt fight
>>5274904
>Meanwhile Lich King is human-size so he looks humorously small compared to the other raid bosses.
huh?
>>5275139
Some pictures I've found
>>5275262
>>5275137
Not sure what updates have to do with the game. And mounts are a movement mechanic. You start with 2 and can get more for free. You don't have to buy any. Not sure how that has anything to do with the game being good or bad. You a sub-autist?
>>5275139
Lich King's size in game is all over depending on the cut scene....
>>5275262
The gold trim and fur looks kinda funky on him but that sculpting is great. Would be great is he had a helmet-less swappable head though.
>>5275437
Yeah it sucks that he's not more of a "frosted" color like he is in-game.
>>5275444
That's from NECA's Diablo III figure line, silly boy. It's years old.
>>5275444
Nah, she appeared in the announcement CGI trailer, but they went with a classic bulking Diablo look for the actual game.
>>5275462
But by data mining was discover that she will be a future character
I know she came out a year ago
But that doesn't mean she can be re releases when the character comes out on the game
>>5275645
Wasn't she scheduled to be skin of regular Diablo?
>>5275649
I never hear of that
>>5275663
Learn fucking English, dickbreath
>>5276297
> The Internet is US Only
Maybe you need to just piss off.
>>5275663
they thought about it but instead they went the easy route and made the angel skin
>>5274671
actually found at a few comic shops in Canadaland and Illidan / Nova weren't a stupid amount (surprise!) Ranged from 28 - 32$ I was shocked when they showed up at the TRU to cause usually that kinda thing just doesn't make it up here.
Not sure how long before we see Arthas / Tyrael though
So, I recently got Nova from Amazon cause fuck if I can find it at any TrU. So anyway I notice the joints from legs and arms are stiff as fuck. I try to move them and soon as I try to make her right elbow joint move, piece of shit snapped off. Before you all say ham beast hands, no. I have regular sized hands. It literally snapped off as soon as I tried to make it move. How can they fuck up with this figure so bad on the joints? Illidan one is flawless. Everything moves smoothly and doesnt feel brittle.
Is there anyway to fix it or do i get a refund from them or just deal with it? I thought to just super glue her right joint in a pose permanently but thats a last resort.
>>5278354
heres the forearm piece with the gun peg barely holding on to the little hole in her hand
>>5278354
>cause fuck if I can find it at any TrU
US? You pretty much have to order them online, stores are all out.
>>5278371
yes, live in Los Angeles area.
You guys know that Illidan and Nova are up on the Blizzard store for only $22 right?
>>5278354
>notice joint is way too stiff
>keep trying to move it anyway
You done fucked up. Often times when a joint is stiff as fuck and you're moving it you're actually tearing/snapping the fucking thing. If it's not moving with moderate force heat that shit up.
>>5278384
fuck, oh well, shitty thing is I really wanted this figure so bad and resorted to paying a few dollars more on amazon to get it.
>>5278381
and they're up on TRU as well but you can get them with free shipping.
>>5278354
Uh, considering mine didn't break when I moved mine...they didn't' fuck up at all. The blame's kind of on you there.
>>5278354
It's always best to give NECA stuff a nice hot bath before trying to move stiff joints. Also helps putting tight stuff on the figures
>>5278651
Tight stuff?
But yes, if a joint isn't moving, there's no reason not to use some boiling water to soften things up and gently try moving it then. You can bitch and moan about "B-but I shouldn't have to do thaaaaat!" or you can shut up and do it and not have your figure break because you were to lazy to boil water of all things. Patience goes a long way.
>>5278655
Tight stuff, like hands/heads/accessories that are a bitch to put in. The heat softens the hole and makes them sit on pegs easier
>>5278659
Oh, gotcha. I thought you were trying to name a clear or somesuch.
will nova look good next to figma samus or is nova way too big?
>>5278666
NECA figures are like, 7 inch.
>>5278354
NECA everyone.
Remember to Boil your NECAs....
Honestly Inwpuld try to exchange it or get a refund and not blame yourself. NECA has shitty frozen joints all the time. Its part of the reason I barely buy anything from them even if its a property I really want. I almost didn't bother getting Illidan and I still worry about getting Arthas even though I really really want both.
>>5278354
Yeah the first nova I gots right leg broke out of the box. Luckily I got it from a local TRU and was able to exchange it. Luckily it broke before I modded it because I modded mine into a ghost Kerrigan.
>>5278742
Pictures?
>>5278719
I mean, yeah, if you want to live your life in paranoia like that. I guess that's cool, too.
>>5278719
I really wouldn't call it "boiling" because if you literally use boiling water the paint will all come off and the figure will start to get droopy and flaccid. You're going to make people ruin their shit, lol.
>>5278892
pixel dan boils his neca products all the time on live cam so I trust an internet celebrity over an anon such as yourself who says such blatant trolls
>>5278892
That's not true at all. Boiling does not harm the paint, very, very rarely, and when it has happened on anything I own, it was on a Figma. The only thing you want to watch for is rubber. Never, ever use it on rubber (the flexible, stretchy kind), it will cause it to crack and tear.
And flaccid is ecactly what you want. In most cases it will let you free up the joint, ir if need be, pop it off entirely. So long as you're not dumb and force the plastic to tear.
I don't know why you guys treat this like some bizarre ritual, "boil and pop" has been a longtime tool for customizes and people buying toys.
I do it on McFarlane toys, DC collectibles, Hasbro, Sideshow, Mattel, have had to do it on a Figma, Revoltechs a lot... it's just good knowledge to have.
>>5278922
Oh and let's not forget Playmates...I had to boil and pop the shins on Rocksteady to turn them around the right way. That was a huge fucking ordeal just from how tiny the knee pins were and getting the plastic pliable enough to do anything with it.
>>5278719
yeah, never had this issue with neca before. if i decide to buy nova again, ill definitely do this.
>>5278922
Why boil it when hot water is usually enough? It seems unnecessary to use something hotter than needed to free a joint.
>>5278984
If it works, that's fine, thats great, but I've always had the most success with boiling water.
>>5278922
Boil pvc all you want. DO NOT boil ABS. The hard, brittle gundam kit like plastic. That stuff will warp when soft and it does not spring back into shape like pvc.
That goes for revoltech joints, figma joints, and 95% of any given Transformer.
>>5278922
Yeah but you can just microwave some water in a mug and submerge the dead limb. Steaming water works fine, it's doesn't have to be literally boiling with ton of little raising bubbles. Even with just steaming water one of my NECA figures lost paint on it's foot. It was from the Planet of The Apes line.
>>5279075
I have no clue why people do this with hot water and not a blow dryer. Blow dryer is faster and won't scald the shit out of you if you somehow manage to knock it over.
>>5279075
Sorry, but the paint loss thing just doesn't happen. I've done it on enough figures now that I just don't see it happening.
>>5275129
Played through HotS, realized that the Zerg leadership were the Decepticons.
Played through LotV, realize that the Protoss leadership were all Autobots.
>>5279332
> HotS
I really really hate that Heroes of the Storm and Heart of the Swarm have the same acronyms...
>>5278777
Too lazy to remove from display. This was pre final touch up. I wanted to add weathering and darken her face but I kinda gave up on this project prematurely.
>>5279380
wow, thats really good. what paints brushes you use? that laser glow is sick.
>>5279380
amazing work. what red did you use for the hair, and what green/teal did you use for the glow?
>>5275262
I doubt Athas is 8' 6"
>>5284695
He's fucking huge to begin with and his height changes to the situation context
>>5284695
McFarlane figures are manlets, bro.
>>5284695
Actually in game mass shift mechanics aside, the Lich King is pretty huge.
Wish I could get Illidan in Australia.
Life is tough.
Any word on future Heroes of the Storm figures?
>>5287590
Back at Toy Fair 2015 early last year there was a poster of sorts showing the character list for series 2. When asked about it Randy was apprehensive, kind of implying Blizzard has a pretty tight grip on the line and its reveals and what not. So who knows if it's still accurate, but the characters on it were
Raynor
Valla
Thrall
Murky and Brightwing (I guess in a 2 pack to fit the format)
Diablo (as the deluxe, one would assume)
That's a pretty good lineup for a wave 2 so hopefully they do go for it. It'd be incredible if they can keep going and end up making the whole roster. Blizzard seems to be supportive and the line is off to a good start so maybe it has a chance. If anything kills it it might be greedy retailers. But at least the prices are still relatively low in the US, which one would think is still the biggest market for these and other NECA goods.
>>5287597
>Thrall and 2 epic memes for all of 2015
murder me
>>5287640
>2 epic memes for all of 2015
I literally have no idea what you are talking about.
Thrall is meh though. I already have one!
>>5275649
If they do add it, that's what it'll end up being. There's really no sense in adding in femDiablo as a whole nother character. They were supposed to add a male version of the Barbarian character, too.
>>5287597
bah have to buy raynor for myself and then valla for my gf as that's her main. and i can't resist anything starcraft :(
>>5287597
Thanks. I completely missed that. Not that big into Blizzard games but really love these figures. And that lineup looks well balanced and pretty ideal for me, not that I would know any better. Like everyone is saying Kerrigan would be a must I imagine, and would be thrown in even if they don't meet sale numbers or something and had to cancel early.
>>5287597
Good god, I want them all.
Pic showing the poster thing here. http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2015/07/SDCC2015-NECA-Video-Game-Toys-018.jpg
>>5275262
I still am not fond of that cheap felt material for his cloak and loincloth
>>5290632
Same. I'm looking for cheap replacement (id rather have a pliable plastic) and at some point I'd like to give Tyrael some proper wings.
>>5288347
>Murky
>Thrall
>Actual Diablo
Now we just need Sylvanass
>>5287597
Will happily buy a Raynor and Valla. Excited as fuck.
The prototype arthas' loincloth looked like it was going to be rubber/soft plastic. I wonder why they used real cloth instead. Not a fan of the cloth either.
>>5290994
May'be been a cheaper alternative. I like it, myself. I think it looks really good.
>>5290994
Im not a fan of cloth, but at least is just a little cloth, instead of having all his body cover by it.
>>5291067
I dunno, the bright purple cloth looks a little off. It just stands out too much against his armor. Or maybe it's just in the pics? It could really use some weathering, which is probably what i'm going to do once i get a hold of him.
>>5278354
Jesus christ that paint is awful.
still waiting on these from jet.com
ordered them nearly 2 weeks ago... lost the package then took days to figure out its lost. and this package hasnt moved in 2 days when it was 2 day shipping. fml
>>5291358
Nah.
>>5292920
>The blue panel lining flaking off
>The paint on the hair bleeding onto the headset
>The paint on the hair in general
>The general paint bleed, flaking and sloppy application all over the figure
I mean, the metallic parts are OK but everything else looks horrible.
>>5293177
And I'm going to have to completely disagree with you yet again.

I think what he's trying to say isn't that the paint job is flawed, but rather, it's not awful.
Paint jobs like that are rather common to see, even with more expensive lines like Figuarts.
Then you have to take into account the fact that sometimes the bleed isn't noticeable, depending on the area of course. So a paint app not being perfectly straight on a leg isn't going to be as obvious as if the paint was poorly applied to the face, even though the leg paint app is more off than the face paint app.

You're being a dick, why would anyone want to sit and argue with you when you've already made up your mind? It's pointless shitposting.
