I always thought it'd be a neat gimmick for them to make an MTG set that was a weird dreamscape and didn't have any creatures. Of course, knowing them that'd be a technical thing and you'd still get token makers.
If you avoided that though, you'd basically have Enchantments to fill the role of creatures (have enchantments that ping or cause life loss, with lifegain and damage prevention to counter them) with spells mostly being ways to counter enemy spells or get a quick advantage.
White or Blue would probably rein supreme, due to having the best Enchantments and spells.
