Gorkers are da best edition.

If you don't have dice you can hunt ebay or you can use a D6

Sustained Fire Die: Use a D3 except a 6 is a misfire
(1-2) = 1, (3-4) = 2, (5) = 3, (6) = Jam

Artillery Die (For Stikkbombz) use a D6 where a 6 is a misfire and 1-5 are inches scatter.

You'd be playing a game that is so bad, you could glue your models and dice to your dicks and think up a better game.

Unfortunately you're 40kucks without an ounce of creativity in your bodies. Same reason you make digga gangs out of guardsmen and think it's A+ effort.

Gorkers
Trukk, Rokkit Launcha
Nob, Shoota, 'Uge Choppa, Flakk, Krakk Stikkbomb
Spanner (driver), Slugga, Choppa, Flakk
Boy (gunner), Two Choppaz, Flakk

Yoof, Kannon, Choppa
Yoof, Slugga, Choppa
Yoof, Choppa, Krak Stikkbomb

I've also got some sweet custom terrain I've been working on if you lads fancy a look

>>
>>
>>48097068
Why give your driver and gunner armour? Their vehicle is the armour!
>>
>>48096226
The rules should be changed to fit the group you're playing with. If they need things to be like modern 40K to wrap their heads around it then that's what you do.

Or just run the basic rules and tell them to read the damn books. They're easy rules.
>>
>>48096453
What's bad about them?
>>
>>48098022
drivers and gunners can still be shot though
>>
>>48098072
Yep. So? When is it enough armour? Give them 'Eavy Armour and upgrade the armour on the truck. Better nail on some armour plate gubbinz too.

Or roll the dice and don't worry about it. Keep the gunner safe by having other crew onboard to get hit. The driver already has a 6+ save too (look at the damage table).

/hwg/ has a good list of historical providers, I'd suggest starting by looking in the WW2 28mm section. Here's the link. For reference, the bike looks like its a Bersaglieri bike.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uGaaOSvSTqpwPGAvLPY3B5M2WYppDhzXdjwMpqRxo9M/edit

Not related to bikes, but the Vietnam stuff often has great stuff for converting to war trukks, as does 28mm WW2, I've seen some great converts from WW2 halftracks.

GORKAMORKA IS THE AMAZING, IMPRESSIVE, GODLIKE CREATION THAT THE MEKS OF MEKTOWN ARE BUILDING.

We don't know if it will fly like a rokkit, we don't know if it will telyport us onto a space hulk, we don't know if GorkaMorka will rise up and pick up Mektown and carry it to the great WAAAGGGGH!

Never mind the bit in Road Warrior involving the raid on the fort by a mob of half naked Australians, the whole thing being in the desert and the gyro(deff)kopta. Or barter town in number 3 becoming mektown with pit fights, etc.

>>48138549
I've found that there are Kool-Aid powder packs that are the right size for a Stompa (pic related), and with the lid off of it it has a similar shape to the Stompa model.

It would just be a matter of up-armouring it, adding limbs and a head, and some spare Orks as the Boss, and you'd be set. Straws for exhaust pipes, pens for missiles, etc etc.

I've also seen people using old GI Joe tanks as looted Baneblade variants, along with any number of different Dino toys as Squiggoths.

Pick one. There's no hard and fast rules :)
>>
>>48144826
Thin is,it maks sense to only fire in that small corridor, because a sidecare is cramped and difficult to move about in (hence a limited firing arc), If theres enough space to move around then yeah, youve got a buggy,
>>
>>48146574
Crew and drivers have a 360º fire arc

It's just fixed weapons that have fixed arcs/corridors
>>
>>48146574
>>48146682
gubbinz has rules for side-cars as a gubbinz for buggies/trukks/trakkz and you get a 90 degree firing arc at an angle from your car.

>>48146682
for clarification, drivers in a buggy/trukk/trakk fire in a 90 degree front arc of the vehcile

drivers on a bike can fire a one-handed gun (pistols) in 360 degree fire arc

and this is why you shouldn't give bikes sidecars

just count it as a bike and continue using the fire corridor, that way things won't get confusing in terms of

>the harder thrust tests
>the different damage table
>the differences in ramming/getting rammed
>it's a "large target"
>it's 20 teef instead of 10 and requires it's own spanna boy to purchase

don't complicate things, if it's a bike, use it as a bike
>>
Now, I know that miniwargaming is polarizing as fuck considering their rules.

"40k is shit" "don't change the rules" "ruins the spirit of the game"

and I admit that they definitely changed too much without thinking about things.

However, I really like their trukk/buggy distinction, with a Trukk/Trakk costing 20 teef and a buggy costing 15 teef and having a specific size (maximum 2 crew after driver+gunner) with Trakkys (buggy-trakks) also costing 15 teef.

It really lends it self to kitbashing model kits or dollar store chinese plastic cars for gorka morka, without getting absurd 15 teef trakks that can carry 20+ boyz.
>>
>>48147904
Using one huge vehicle *isn't* a loophole - it's a rookie mistake. Huge vehicles get massacred by template weapons, ramming, and crashing.

I've seen people make that mistake a lot. They don't usually make it twice.

Which is why it's absurd that larger vehicles should cost more.
>>
>>48147582
If you want to use other rules, sure. By default though it's just a bike.

>outside observers who don't play, have never played or do not intend to play give too much of a shit about the lack of specified transport capacity

a big vehicle is, as mentioned in the previous thread, "a complete fucking liability"

>the bigger they are, the harder they turn (they turn about their centre making it easier to collide with stuff
>the bigger they are, the bigger they are (easier to see, shoot, ram, chase
>if everyones on da bus, flamers and frag stikkbombs will ruin your life
>low spanna/vehicle ratio (especially if you're going 1/1) puts you up shit creek if either has to miss a gamefor any reason/dies
>investment, relying too much on one big vehicle for transport will ruin you if it dies, as 15-20 teef ain't something you can conjure easily after one game

The current Ork Trukk kit can fit 6 boys on slottabases it (if you don't glue in the sitting driver and gunner). I'd say that's fair enough to start with. If you want to lengthen or widen it to squeeze an extra one or two on, or make room for a wrekker ball or big grabba later, that's entirely up to you.

I think some people don't like this rule because it allows their opponent to tailor their vehicular needs to suit their mob roster. I also think these dumbshits are lazy, because both players are allowed to field whatever vehicles they want.

Just like the retard in the last general who said Gorkamorkas combat is "one-sided as fuck" so the 40k combat rules work better and are "fairer"

>>outside observers who don't play, have never played or do not intend to play give too much of a shit about the lack of specified transport capacity

>a big vehicle is, as mentioned in the previous thread, "a complete fucking liability"

Nail on head. The three biggest dangers for vehicles in Gorkamorka are:

1. Ramming
2. Crashing
3. Hits from wrecker balls and big grabbers

Shooting is rarely an issue (although template weapons that hit crew hit each crewman in addition to the overall damage roll).

All of those things are MASSIVELY more likely to happen with a huge vehicle.

Bear in mind that vehicles are a big deal - this is a game where you move a lot. If your vehicle can just about drag itself across the table you're up the creek without a choppa. Players with smaller vehicles can nip in, wreck your shit, and get away before you can get anywhere close.

Putting more than about 4 boyz (in addition to the driver and gunner) on a vehicle is rarely a good idea. I wonder if it's a 40K thing of not thinking about how small Gorkamorka mobs usually are?

My 300+ mob rating mobs have about 6 - 8 warriors on foot. Mobs are supposed to retire at 400 for context. Only rebel grots are fielding armies of foot models!

Ok guys, you've just won your first game. Your Nob has +1 leadership and can get kustom jobs done. You've made 11 teef in profit.

What's your first purchase?
>>
>>48149191
Depends on what the mob's strengths and weaknesses are. A big grabber and a yoof to man it would be a good call though.
>>
If I was lucky enough to get 11 teef I'd get a wrekker ball. If the got 9 I'd sell off someone's pistol to make up the rest

as >>48162320 said, plastic-rod offcuts work fine, for larger rivets on vehicles you can use a leather hole-punch on plasticard for mass-producable large circular rivets, but for the subtle round ones you'll need a water filter from one of those britta kettles or whatever.

depends on if you want to be able to continue kitbashing GW parts.

If you have a look at historicals you can buy a box of celts, picts, woodland indians or the sudanese from perry and the like to get the barechested people, but you'd still have to make them a little more orky by adding the armor made from scrap metal and the like.

You'll get 40 minis in a box for 20 bucks.
They obviously won't be as buff as the AoS reavers or Chaos marauders though.

What you are doing there looks promising though.

I already mentined the perry sudanese.
You can get various other kits you can use from warlord minis and gripping beast, usually viking warriors or celts.
Warlord games also started selling the woodland indians from wargames factory recently, but they are in quite a different scale. They don't look bad, but won't mix well with GW stuff at all.
If you want something you can kitbash you might have more luck with the metal indians from perry, although they are a little more expensive than the plastics. Still cheaper than GW though.

Keep in mind though that generally speaking you have to make up your mind for either one or the other, because the historical ranges might not mix well with GW.
If you are clever about it you could use the slightly smaller historicals as yoofs though.
