Warframe, a game with lots of variety in the warframes (classes) and weapons you can pick.
4 players randomly joined a game together and they were all using the exact same warframe, and all had nothing but shotguns.
Granted it was a shotgun-only sortie mission but randomly joining to find you're all using the same warframe was pretty funny, it's like showing up to the first session of an RPG to find that everyone rolled up the same class without planning it at all.

He's a lot of fun and my go-to sortie frame. His Ultimate ability summons a bo-staff so he technically has a melee weapon even in sortie missions with weapon restrictions, and his Defy ability makes him nigh immortal as long as he has energy. With Rage installed he gets energy back from taking damage, making it a self-reinforcing feedback loop of health and energy and almost never dying.
I jokingly say he's a masochist because he actually gets tougher to kill facing stronger enemies, weaker enemies don't do enough damage to keep the Rage feeding him energy to keep his abilities going.

The devs mentioned they were planning another rework of damage system, Damage 3.0 if you want. However, it doesn't have a scheduled roll out date or any known details about it.
As for weapon like powers - currently they're nothing mindblowing, if you want to go full meta you still pick Tonkor. Exalted Blade's been changed so that energy waves don't have infinite punch through, and it's innate flash now costs energy. Hysteria now drains more energy the longer it is active. Primal Fury still doesn't take reach modes into account, and it wasn't particularily good in the first place. Same with Artemis Bow, except you also can't even melee with it. The only one that's good is Peacemaker, because they allowed secondary mods to affect it.

Dunno what to say then, I don't have Ivara but I still find all the other powers you mentioned to be perfectly usable, Hysteria took a bit of getting used to but since it has no cast cost if you just pop into it for a few seconds you can wipe the floor with large groups and then go out before it costs almost any energy at all, and Exalted Blade still takes down entire swarms of enemies at extended range.

Oh no, I have to spend a whole... 5? 6? energy now! The spin blind was nice because it was 0-cost CC, but now with the nerf you just use real actual RB because real actual RB has always had better range and sets enemies up for the unaware damage bonus (which spin blind didn't), and now the energy costs are basically equivalent if you're running an efficiency-optimized build (which by definition you are, because you're using EB).

But yeah, nowadays I mainline Excal, though I have a couple other frames I can pull out in case party composition requires it (the aforementioned Loki, in stealth and disarm flavors; killstealer Ash for Draco runs where I don't have an EV Trin to support my RJ Excal; Rhino, for shooting things; Hysteria Valkyr for seeing red crits, but I haven't updated her for her nerfs; and Frost, for when I'm feeling lazy on Heiracon or Tower Defense farming. I have other frames, but those're the ones I tend to use the most.)
