Not inspired by real events. I swear.
The government is finally revamping auto laws and, by coincidence, chosen you as an everyman to choose what area out of several that they focus on to start. Of course, you'll be testing these out first.
Before that happens, everything across the board will get safety and feature upgrades across the board. Repairing tires, stronger frames, GPS, the works.
Choose two. Be aware that other people will have them eventually as well.

This is a big enough drawback for the people who do this that it doesn't need any extra frills.

Not really. Because of emission standards and oil something or other, cars will be electric going forward. Better yet, during testing, charging up your car will be completely paid for by... Elon Musk. When all the cars are electric it'll go on your taxes.

Of course, the government has been working on self driving car software/algorithms, and amazing they don't get rear-ended every five minutes.
Self driving car technology gets boosted a couple of years. Think the terrible iRobot movie, but less murder.
Watch your cellphone bill, cars will need to be chipped for this one.

While your car is driving itself, you can chat with everyone in a reasonable distance in a basic chatroom where you're only identified by body type and color.
Yell at people for driving poorly, ask for restaurant recommendations, or tell everyone you just got cut off by Adam Sandler in a powder blue VW Passat.
People without self driving cars can get the chat room read to them. Possibly in the poster's desired TTS.

It's close range and doesn't work on people. But it does work on that asshole that just cut you off. Three times in the last half-hour.

Painter is a little small compared to the others. If your scaled down your source image, I'd try it again at a larger size and just crop a smaller (%) of the image for the girl. That is, make a crop such that not much more than the girl, easel, and the rolly table are in the frame, but the image is still the same size as the others.

Me and my helpers are immediately killed. Well, I don't care since I'll regenerate. Half the world's population lives in Asia - they're instantly wiped out, giving the Dead King his coveted energy. The enormous explosion would quickly kill all life on Earth, let alone sentient life.

I'll fly to the goddamn center of this shitty universe's galaxy and when I get there, I'll enter the super massive blackhole's event horizon. And when I get within 100m of the singularity? Nullify gravity. Instant release of all that energy. eventually blowing apart the entire galaxy.
Now I really better get a nice title from being at ground zero of a galaxy destroying explosion.
As for me, I might as well join up with the Eternal Watchers though. Not like there's much excitement going on around this boring planet. No point in really learning perk skills when I can spam Unleash Potential to get them all.

I think most of the Focus perks are plenty powerful for a familiar. The biggest problem is that it implies the master only has access to that spell, or that that spell is the best they can do. This is especially true for witches.
I want to see the focuses as a sort of bleed off from the master. This is what they are really good at, so the familiar gets a tiny fraction of what the master can do in that area. That would imply that the master has access to both spells in the focus as well as far more powerful magic that a familiar couldn't even dream of using.

It's funny, but you have the exact same perks and Arts that I took on my first build. I reached the conclusion that World Substitution, when paired with Unlocked Potential and Unleash Potential, would essentially open all of the doors to the nearly infinite (number is so large it may as well be infinite) number of occurring and recurring timelines and allow you to transcend to something beyond godhood. Regardless, that is easily the most powerful build you can have.

I'l take a stealth suit with an anti-magic personal shield generator. (1650) making me very difficult to see or harm. I'll take a melee weapon, a simple but sturdy cut and thrust sword, and a pistol. Again, simple and durable, so something like a colt 1911. That brings me up to 1800. I'll take a portable energy generator for the shields, I guess fifty bullets at one credit each, and keep the change for future use.
Seraph seems like the surest route to establishing a local powerbase capable of asserting sovereignty later.
