Chaos specifically would still be a big challenge for Imp despite the technology differences, because Imps are still very prone to corruption

Very few. Chaos in Fantasy is an entirely different animal to that in 40k, and isn't nearly as corrupting or freely powerful. Chaos really doesn't have any defense besides extremely powerful wizards of Tzeentch if Guardsmen bring out the artillery.
