Shamefully, this is me. I'm imaginative, I just a lawful ethics fag and I find it difficult to rationalize going against a human-lead civilization. I haven't particularly played a campaign where humans are a minority, and I think being an orc would be neat, but without deluding myself, I would just want to be an orc so I can smash things good.

I like this as well, but as you say later on, most people try to play the grimdark adventurer and elves are a little more complicated to write about. I find they need to be a combination of both, which is why high elves and forest elves should be different things most of the time. In general, I like forest elves, but I can't stand high elves with their pretentious trappings and immortality. How can you use power responsibly if you have no concept of age?

They could, but that leans towards faggy pretty quick. I thought, in an ideal world, the player would role play the elf straight, as in they pretend to be awesome and talk down to everyone, but slowly becomes more self aware as he has generally hostile encounters. The character wouldn't be weak by any stretch of the imagination, more so he would need to learn to cooperate in order to deal with complex threats he was once capable of pacifying. Think one of those spock-gets-emotions kind of thing, but more pretentious and boastful.
I thought it would be difficult because a player would need to be pretty dedicated in order to make it convincing. I don't think someone who usually plays an elf would want to be made fun of the entire game behind-their-back-but-also-not without spontaneously becoming cool and awesome halfway through the campaign.

There are some badly written elves out there. I often hear that some hate them because of Eragon, one of the first fantasy novels they have read. But why do they start to hate all elves, but not just the book or the author? Other reasons could be surpressed homosexuality. By hating the 'faggot'-race they prove to you that they are indeed not gay! Or feeling insecurity because of the elves' supposed superiority. They could also remind them of all the cool, smart, beautiful and successful kids back at school, which were not very nice to them. Of course due to the influence of said otherworldly creatures, The Daedric Princes, several leaders of the Ayledoom and sometimes whole regions and cities slowly descend into madness. Flesh gardens made out of human entrails and bodies become a common place in certain regions of Cyrodiil, rape and wanton murder of human slaves did not surprise anyone at all and setting human children on fire and making them run away from lions and wild dogs became a sport. The second Pelinal entered the tower Umaril summoned armies and hordes of Ayleids, then grand mages, warriors, remaining Elven Kings etcetera. He was very methodic in the way they attacked him and did everything he could to damage him and tire him out. Eventually he ran out of the henchmen to summon, Pelinal was bleeding and heavily maimed but he refused to surrender to Umaril, the worse of the slaverkind, so Umaril thinking that his magical prowess would fuck up half-dead Pelinal dueled him.

During said battle Pelinal called upon last remnants of the original echo of creation itself, unleashed all of his power and slayed Umaril like, but at a great cost. That day Alessia took control of the Imperial City and Ayleid rule ended, most importantly Alessia with CHIM-El Adabal made a pact with Akatosh to protect Mundus from all Daedric influence in the future and steer the favor of the universe itself in favor of humanity since from now on only the Dragonborn descendant of Alessian bloodline would sit upon the Ruby Throne and wear the Amulet of Kings which got made out of CHIM-El Adabal.
Ever since then humanity ruled supreme and Pelinal became an equivalent of a boogeyman to all of elfkin. A crazy mad android spirit from the future that changed the course of history, like some fantasy terminator.

So first campaign for donk, chaos vs law. Mostly evil party, working with cloak and dagger sociaty to overthrow LE empire.
Travle mostly by nice careage cause fuck if the incubus was gonna ride a horse. Donk not allowed inside "cause he's smelly", so he walks cause to big for horses. Trail gets muddy and strewn with debris after a storm. "Donk, go clear the road. We're to lazy, whaa whaa whaa." Donk face when. Suggestion makes it happen despite my objections.
So angerly throwing shit off the road for a mile before i smell smoke. Suggestion only said clear a path, didnt say how far. So i go to investigate with uncanny stealth, find small group of wood elves waiting off to the side of the road. No doubt gonna extort us for muh trees reasons. Tummy rumbles intensify but a quick int check gives donk an idea. Ax away, slave collars out. Wait for one to take a piss. Waylay, sleeper hold and collar. Rinse repeat for the guy that comes to check on his buddy. Rush the two females and kill one cause caster and also hungry. The others get the message and donk makes twigs for arms group of elves clear the road for him while he drinks their booze. Party eventually gets cart over the mud without me and catches up to see donks new chain gang. Hope lights their eyes as they see the nice carriage and the well dressed buttler driving it. "Nobles, surely they have gaurds. We're saved!" They think. Vatfolk scout ,only good character, hops down and starts berating donk for taking slaves. Saying thats no better than the empire we're fighting and bla bla bla. Donk gets tired of her lip, finishes wine in one long go, gets up, goes over to them fishing his keys out. Grabs the chains attached to their collars and swings a three headed elflail around over his head a few times and splatters them all over a mighty oak tree. Catfolk speachless, incubus laughing, bard prest'ing away the elf blood and donk unlocked the collars from the corpses.

The TLDR is that elves were experimenting with magic and found a new source of power and tried to make a conduit to it. Unfortunately the source of power was one of the Elder Gods ripped from Lovecraft. The party needs to close the conduit before the dimensional invasion takes over the world.
One of the ways they can do that is gather the human nations under the banner of Lord XXXXX and kill every elf on the planet in a war. That or go off adventuring for artifacts of the gods to close the rift.
Hopefully it will be fun. By that I mean I hope they decide to kill all the elves.
