Wouldn't it technically be a THIS GIRL. It seems like an awesome thing to do for the group, especially if its a lighter sweet or just bread that doesn't weigh everyone down.
I cook for my party a fair bit, especially after one of the members bought me the A Song of Ice and Fire cookbook, which has proven pretty neat for finding recipies for making during sessions. Favorites so far have been lemon cakes (Basically what they say on the tin, small cakes with lemony batter and lemony frosting. A bit heavy but the acid makes them seem lighter then they were). Lemonsweet (Fantasy lemonade, has a few spices in it to taste different, really popular with my party. I personally make a weird sort of Arnold Palmer with it.) and just good old fashioned rustic bread with some butter, cheese, and meat. Hummus is also a pretty good snack, especially if you can get your hands on good pita.
Fresh fruit gets a special mention, as I swear to god it makes your sessions last longer and more productive. This may sound like some hippie shit, but seriously. Try grabbing some fresh fruit for your games, shit tastes good and seems to make you think clearer. I tend towards buying some fresh apples, pears, and peaches (One of the party members fucking loves peaches), chopping that shit up and putting it in the middle of the table. Plates clear by the end of the night, it isn't that expensive, and there's been a notable boost in session quality after I started doing it.
I also never go to a MtG draft without at least two fresh pieces of fruit, it basically guarantees an extra win for me.

I make baked goods for my tabletop groups every now and again, but some groups find it a little sketchy if the week before you turn to every person who shows up to play with a notepad out saying, "Hey, what are your food allergies?"
Then I made an entire loaf of meatbread and a pot of gravy, and all was well in the world. I was actually at a local convention, and I was planning on going completely off the books this year. Offhandedly set up a game of 5e D&D based on a story starter I was working on for a larger campaign world, since there was apparently nobody running 5e D&D this past year.
I end up rounding up a couple of players from my usual weekly games, a couple of people I knew from con, and some people I had just met (maybe 7 players in all). We went up to a room, and got started writing up characters and getting the newfags a basic overview of how the system works
Game was taking place with the players being charged to find a bunch of pilgrims who were wanting to investigate old ruins in this ancient swamp, but they don't know what the pilgrims look like or where to find them, just to meet them there. The entire game could probably be summarized as "Enlightened Kobolds, Cajun Dwarves, and Cambodian Architecture".
One of the players, an IRL bounty hunter, ends up totally justifying going full murderhobo against the first NPC any of them saw because of the circumstance, and the PCs all end up getting in a huge brawl. I get vaguely pissed as GM and start to go, "B'aaaw, you ruined my game", but spun it around and decided to bring in what I had planned as an environemtnal random encounter.
If the PCs make a shit-ton of noise in the swamp, they'll draw the attention of critters I ended up naming "Uzhakti". They're basically Garuda Wasps sized up to have a 40 foot wingspan, who can easily carry off a horse. I put 3 of them against a lv1 party, and everyone starts to panic, and we ended up having a great time.
People actually looked it up online at the table, and found out information I already knew: the Garuda Wasp only has ridiculously huge mandibles in order to latch onto and hold down a mate, because they reproduce exclusively by rape.
Good times were had, and we plan to get back together if we can.
