For fluff, I picture most of the Autobots and some of the Decepticons being scattered throughout the Imperium, spending almost all of their time in their alt-modes because they know Humanity's stance on AIs and xenos alike.

An Autobot was likely that one Crimson Fists Land Raider that killed the shit out of the orks at Rynn's World.

A failed Decepticon takeover of Earth could've been transformed (heh) by time and retelling into the legends of the Iron Men, and the like.
